The man accused of raping and confining his estranged partner is now held at His Majesty’s Prison after appearing in court at the Magistrate’s Court today.
He faces charges of Attempted Murder, Rape, and Unlawful Confinement.
Reports state that he forcibly entered the victim’s residence weeks ago, assaulted her, and restrained her.
After a report was filed, authorities apprehended him upon returning to the island.
Due to the rape allegation, the identities of those involved cannot be disclosed by law.
