Randy Edwards will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
Edwards chopped and injured Elvis Daisy with a cutlass during an altercation on Wireless Road in March of 2016.
Daisy died in October 2016 after spending several months in ICU at the hospital.
Edwards was later charged with murder after an autopsy revealed Daisy’s death was a direct result of the injuries he sustained during the incident.
The prosecution said they accepted the plea of manslaughter since the evidence showed the defendant was provoked by the deceased.
