Man Jailed for sex with two underage girls

Sherdley Ramsey was sentenced to jail time Friday after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with two young girls.

Ramsey admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old girl and her 13-year-old friend in 2016.

The then 31-year-old man be-friended the minors as they all played mas as part of that year’s carnival celebrations.

He later took the girls to his home where he had sexual intercourse with both.

Ramsey was sentenced to seven years on a charge of sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 14 and three years on a charge of sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 16.

The sentences will run concurrently so he will serve a total of seven years behind bars.

  1. He could consider himself lucky to have only been sentenced to 7 years. Was reading a report from Guyana where a man was recently sentenced to 44 years for having sex with an underage girl. The court must always send a strong signal that children need to be protected.

  2. But wait…what about the MAS CAMP organizers…they took the minors money, when minors should not be in that MAS CAMP. When is the law going to charge that MAS CAMP for 1. aiding and abetting a serious crime to happen 2. neglect to minors will apparent alcohol etc is being served around them etc.

You get the picture. Ramsey is not the only guilty party here. The MAS CAMP organizers/owners should have to pay. The parents of these little underage girls also should have answered to the courts.

When will our courts and law do their job properly?

    • You have to be kidding me. You cannot regulate who plays mass and who doesn’t. Kids have been playing mass from since time immoral. What you can regulate and punish mass camps for is if they serve alcohol to persons under the age. It’s time that we as adult men take responsible for our actions. Leave the damn children alone. And the sad thing is, whether they are playing mass or not, we have predators that still prey on them. Who is to say the parent or parent’s weren’t playing with them? Hold the gentleman responsible. He should have known better.
