Man in Stable  Condition after being shot by Police

 

Investigations are ongoing into an incident, where 23 year Ajante Browne of Swetes was shot by the police while responding to a report.

 

Around 6:15 pm on Wednesday 23rd March, the police were called to a property at Swetes, where Browne, who was wanted in connection with several reports of Threats and Malicious Damage was sighted

 

When the police arrived at the property, he became enraged and began advancing towards the police, while throwing stones and other objects.

 

Several attempts were made to bring the situation under control; however, he continued threatening the lives of family members and the police, while causing damage to several properties.

 

The situation escalated to the point where he armed himself and was advancing towards the police and was shot in his hand.

 

He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, where a medical doctor reported that his condition is stable and that his injury is not life-threatening.

  1. On the surface, this seems to be well handled and details properly communicated. I hope they will continue to exercise restraint, respect and transparency while keeping the public and themselves safe.

    • When Jack deserves to be given his jacket, it should be given to him. The same applies to the officers when they have executed a good job… Shooting a perpetrator in the arm, hand, foot or leg should be their modus of operandi rather than shooting and the end result ends in death.

  2. These guys are attacking police officers in my neck of the woods also. They lucky caribbean police officers not like Stateside officers.

  3. That jus depends on what they officers a shooting ….I mean does it have to be a firearm?…they couldve had a taser gun….Police or not God nvr give another man the authority to shed a next man’s blood….*Put urself in the young man shoes for instance*
