A Grays Farm man was fined $80,000 this week for importing 10 pounds of Cannabis.

David Furlong pleaded guilty to possession and importation of the illegal substance in the Magistrates court.

The drugs were shipped in a Lowe’s bucket and Furlong and his sister were arrested when they went to clear items at the cargo section of the airport last week.

The sister pleaded not guilty to the offences and all charges against her were dropped.

Furlong was reprimanded and discharged on the possession offence.

For importing the substance, he was ordered to pay $10,000 within 24 hours and the remaining $70,000 within 18 months.

If he fails to make the payments, he will spend two years in prison.

  1. I thought Wadadli had the best stock? Why did he need to import? And a GRAYS FARM man at that. Thought life was good in the ghetto cannabis and all.

    • Antigua weed is low quality stock. Antigua weed is the one that grows wild and fast but it has very low THC. If it was the high THC weed in Antigua, then we would see lots of crazy/messed up young men from the way they smoke it endlessly without any control. The weed that is high in THC does not grow that fast. This is one of the reasons why they have crossed the fast growing breed with others so that they can grow quicker. And to to tell you the truth, Antiguan’s; even the weed smokers, are uneducated about the weed variety and THC contents. Even the politicians and those who want to get into the medical week business do not understand. The have no clue!
For example, the hemp plant barely has any significant THC. That’s why the CDB oil from it is freely allowed to be put in so many products on the market.

      • Oh shit so if u know and no one knows then we call people like u mr knows it all……..am sorry for your kids

  2. After the government decriminalized a small portion of marijuana, people are still taking chance and smuggle or ship it into the country?? With those K-9 dogs sniffing through everything at the airport, why taking such chances??
