Man escapes police custody only to be recaptured moments later

STATE MEDIA: POLICE FOIL ESCAPE BY ACCUSED MAN

A man who was being transported from the All Saints Magistrate’s Court jumped from the police vehicle but was quickly recaptured by officers who gave chase.

The incident happened about 11 Thursday morning in Herberts.

Police are now probing the circumstances which culminated in the attempted escape of the accused man.

A strong detachment of police officers converged on the scene in the aftermath of the incident.

This is the second such incident in recent days in which an accused individual has escaped while being transported by law enforcers.

Rickardo Bassawan who has been charged with aggravated robbery, also managed to escape last month while being transported to Her Majesty’s Prison.

He was recaptured within 24 hours and has since been sentenced for escaping lawful custody.

  3. The police messing around, it aint for the lacl of hand cuffs etc….there is no need…the police needs to be more disciplined. Twice they havent seen the guy walked away from them….lol…and yet they keep getting a raise in salary…for what..tom foolery…GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK.

  4. Monday morning i was driving behind a police truck, saw a scuffle in the back seat then all of a sudden the back door open and a man who was detained jumped out and run up horsford hill away from them, both officer was so shocked they were not sure if they should pursue

  5. Are the Police transporting suspects in open Pick Up Trucks? I am asking because I see a Pick Up in the above picture.
