A 34-year-old man faces a severe sentence after being convicted of raping his 14-year-old second cousin on August 1, 2020.
The incident occurred during a family visit when the man, then 31, sexually assaulted the girl after her father left the house.
Although he later apologized, the victim reported the crime four days later following a confrontation with her parents.
After a brief trial in the High Court, presided over by Justice Ann Marie Smith, a jury found him guilty.
He awaits sentencing on June 14.
