Man accused of stabbing DCP Wade remanded to prison

The man accused of stabbing Deputy Police Commissioner Albert Wade is now on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison after making his first court appearance on Monday.

Twenty-four-year-old Austin Isaac is facing charges of Carrying abroad an offensive weapon, battery on police and inflicting grievous bodily harm on the senior police officer.

The defendant faces additional battery and assault charges concerning a civilian complainant.

Magistrate Conliffe Clarke has adjourned the case to December 21 when DCP Wade is expected to complete his sick leave.
