Pennyfeather Confirms Omari Phillip’s Release After Successful Appeal

Lieutenant Colonel Trevor Pennyfeather has confirmed the release of Omari “Boots” Phillip from His Majesty’s Prison following a successful appeal.

Phillip, initially sentenced to 25 years for the 2012 murder of Dominican pump attendant Dorothy Prince, successfully had his conviction reduced to manslaughter.

As a result, his sentence was revised to six years, five months, and 13 days, allowing for his release on Friday, November 15.

Phillip had pursued several educational programs during his incarceration, including courses at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, the Lifelong Learning Unit, and the Guard Center.

Pennyfeather noted Phillip’s participation in these programs and described him as being prepared for reintegration into society.

Prince was fatally shot on February 17, 2012, during an armed robbery at her workplace involving Phillip and three accomplices.

The case garnered significant attention due to the involvement of Phillip’s accomplices, including a former Defense Force soldier and a police constable. One accomplice, Dion Thomas, is now deceased.

  2. Omari “Boots” Phillip you better stay out of trouble, see what Ticks got? we will be watching you closely, don’t get caught smoking weed carelessly, eating and drinking from any and anyone, nor seen in certain places around certain company or is back to jail or under dirt for you…

  3. Antigua is less safe now!
This man has been a delinquent since he was a student at the Clare Hall Secondary School.
I am literally feeling the fear in my heart now.
    How could he be released?
Do we really think he is going to become a productive member of society?
You can scarcely get a job with a minor conviction, much less a track list like his.
    Smh.

  4. Imagine his out still breathing and my aunty gone gone cannot see her 12 years haven’t seen her and will never see her but u out smelling fresh air and living a life smh my the most high watch you…

  5. What you really mean by that? The Phillip family large, and some of us know the same obeah you know. Don’t be threatening him..

  6. ANR, when someone is convicted of a crime you can safely say they did it. Calling them accused is not polite it’s incorrect.

  7. @TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN If Prince was your mother, sister, or better yet daughter would you be singing from that same hym sheet?
Everyone deserves a second chance in deed through the blood of Jesus but one little question have you forgotten the scripture that says obey the law that governs your land?

  8. What is happening in this world today.? If I was even a 6th cousin to Dorothy
It would be 40 days and 40 nights

  9. What is the current status of the case involving Delano Forbes, also known as the “Vampire Killer”?

The 27-year-old was charged in 2017 for the murders of Wilfred “Bongo” Williams in Swetes, Shawn Henry in Point, and Lisue Williams on All Saints Road, followed by another charge in 2018 for the death of Maurison Thomas in All Saints.

Forbes earned the chilling nickname “Vampire Killer” due to reports of his disturbing practice of drinking the blood of his victims.

When apprehended, authorities discovered two bottles that appeared to contain blood in a location near his home in Swetes.

  10. @ CRAZY
    You should be ashamed.
For a large family, you could not have pooled together and raised him to be a better person?
Sent him to the best schools on island?
I know one of his sisters can barely read and finished secondary school at 19!
So what are you all about as a family?
Raisng dunces and murderers and then threatening people like you’re moral?

  11. Who ever wrote this article should’ve given more details about the case and why it was reduced to man slaughter. Then maybe some of the comments would not have been posted🤦🏿‍♂️

  12. My sincere sympathy for her family but why are you trying to shame his sister? She FINISHED/GRADUATED and that’s what matters; so the entire family should have gone to jail? You really don’t know who his family but let me just tell you a bit….
They lost their mother at young age; abandoned by a useless father and left to be raised by siblings that were a few years older and aunts and uncles with their own families.
If you know his siblings and family they are upstanding, hardworking people in society…stop judging them for what he may or may not have done.

  13. @Antiguanbeauty
You’re saying at least she finished school.
Would you be proud if you or your child finished school at damn near 20? Barely literate.
That’s the thing with this family. They are a group of “leasts.”
You don’t see a purported family member defending him?
It’s a pity they didn’t all die out along with the mother ’cause now they are a pain to the rest of society.
    Dorothy Prince was hardworking!
Gaston Browne’s father was a no good and his mom was mentally ill and look where he is today!
The family is clearly ill- bred.

  14. @Cry me a river
I love this forum for you. You’re allowed to voice how disgustingly deplorable your character is as a “human” without anyone knowing your true identity. You are no worse than a thief or murderer in my eyes. If you never ill -bred you would mind your fudging business.

  15. @Y’all only comment
    Clearly, me mash ya corn!
    A hit dog will holla.
    Ah baaaaaaayyy!
I said what I said. Cry me a fudging river!

  16. @Antiguanbeauty and the other one
When ya know ya muma dead, and ya daddy is a no good, you go to school and work hard to elevate yourself.
If you know you don’t have parents to rely on, why further your dependency on people by repeating classes and nah tek in ya school work???!!!
Many people in Antigua come from dysfunctional families. Many have even been molested and still became something.
A lot of our scholars went to school barefoot.
Dem people ya just mean dem go be wotless!!!!!
    No sarry deh!
