A 6.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded just before 1am on Friday.
According to an initial report issued by the UWI Seismic Research Centre, it was felt near Point-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe, Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and Roseau, Dominica.
Several people in different parts of Saint Kitts and St Lucia posted on social media that they too felt the early morning earthquake.
One woman in St Maarten and another in Martinique said they too felt the tremors.
