    • PIT was charged only on earnings above $3,500 per month. In other words a person making $5,000 only paid PIT on $1,500.
PIT only applied to 25% of the population.
Gaston Browne is happy to tax everyone out of existence. High gas. High food prices. High electricity. No relief. No reduction in customs duty. No repeal of UBT.
      No raise in wages.
The same Gaston that came to power on “remove PIT”, which only affected 1/4 of the people, now refuses to bring relief to ANYONE. Sick!
But how could Gaston even care about our pain?
He is too busy enjoying his $20K US per month rent from the WISEZ man and $540,000 per year from SouthMall.

    • YO JACK: Gaston, you planning to steal this idea from the UPP. Remember you said that the Rent-to-own was stupidness then a week later you tief it.
Watching you! You talk from three sides of your mouth

    • Gaston Browne says “Nothing can be done”.
Eat his excuses for breakfast lunch and dinner.
No stimulus for the single mothers who he says will waste it on hair and nails.
      Just eat Gaston’s excuses.

  1. Why remove the fete tax… This is money for the treasury… People just chat all kinds a shit to win vote… Because y’all know Antiguan’s love fete y’all think this is the best way to get votes… What about pensioners who can’t get their monies, or people like me who submit sick leave paper since dunno when and cannot even get a cent back up to Jesus now… Y’all have to be effing crazy… So tired a dis shit!!!

  2. This year’s Carnival was a bundle of confusion. With the dismal Carnival that we that we had this year this sounds like something worth exploring. The fete biz is huge all over the Caribbean and they seem to do a much better job than the government in executing. So let’s see how we can develop the fete calendar.

  3. Shows the superiority of governance and understanding of economics, specifically market forces, that will stimulate, stabilize and grow the economy!! Harold is the ONE with the PLAN!!

  4. Ignore all the negativity Mr Lovell, UPP is on an upward trajectory, whereas the ABLP are going in the opposite direction. Fast!

We know it, the generational supporters know it, and sadly the ABLP are now resorting to name calling and living in the past.

This is one of the main reasons why their leader will not call the general election at present sir …

  5. How does anyone explain that all of the floats in the parade being sponsored by government agencies? Why didn’t the private participate? Is is that businesses don’t believe that they would get a return on their investment. The government needs to create a more enabling business environment.
Half of these Ministries are already underfunded and lack the basic resources to execute their duties. Was the sponsorship of this year’s Carnival a part of their yearly budget? Will these Ministries actually write a cheque to the Festivals Office? Was this just a way to save the parade and put some names on trucks?
We need to overhaul the business of
Carnival so that the small man also has a fair chance.

  6. @Brix, the negativity is a product of fear. Mr Lovell brims over with solutions an vision and the ABLP reacts through shame and fear because they know that they have nothing to offer.
No vision, no solutions, no hope

  7. There we Go..Carnival is.not.a
    BUISNESS AS IS.seemimgly Discussed.
