Local Beekeepers Showcase Antigua and Barbuda’s Finest Honeys to Tourism Minister

4

Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment: The Antigua and Barbuda Beekeepers Association paid a special visit to the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment to showcase two of their proudly made local products

the Antigua Wildflower Honey and Barbuda Logwood Honey.

Minister of Tourism, Hon. Charles Fernandez, took part in the tasting session, getting a firsthand experience of the rich, natural flavors our islands have to offer.

We are excited to see our local beekeeping industry growing and producing world-class products that not only highlight the biodiversity of Antigua and Barbuda but also create new opportunities for agri-tourism.

Congratulations to the hardworking beekeepers who are putting Antigua and Barbuda’s sweetest side on the map! 🇦🇬#SupportLocal#ABHoney#SustainableTourism

  1. Hmmmmmmmm!!!!
    Even honey is politicised??
Please make the link between the tourism minister or ministry and honey production for me…..
Are we producing so much honey that it is a souvenir item for tourists?????????
How much incentive do been keepers get frkm the government?????
If they do why isn’t Anthony “Babyface Judas” Smith the one taking the praises since he is the agriculture minister???????
    Labour party never stops campaigning…….
Sadly the leadership of UPP can’t see that and aren’t readying the party for elections.

  2. Is the output sufficient to market overseas and if so has a market target been been identified? Is there assistance being offered to help them to market and advertise? If not, how do they expand their production to satisfy the local market and look beyond our shores to esport.
