Little Creek Bridge: Public asked to remain patient

4

Update on Little Creek Bridge.

The Ministry of Works (MOW) acknowledges that the construction of the Little Creek culvert has not progressed at the rate that was initially expected.

The concerns of road users and residents in the area are being taken very seriously and according to the Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU), it is anticipated that the Contractor, CO Williams Ltd., will be able to proceed with the pouring of the concrete by tomorrow if weather permits.

Members of the public are being asked to remain patient while all parties involved continue to work feverishly to address this urgent matter that has caused disruption to the road network.

Every precaution is being taken to protect the works and public safety is of utmost importance.

The existing diversion at the Little Creek culvert will continue to be in effect and drivers are advised to proceed with extreme caution when traversing the construction site.

The completion of the construction is largely dependent on weather conditions and the Ministry of Works will continue to provide periodic updates to the general public.
