PM: Government could reverse decision to lift state of emergency and curfew because of Omicron

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a new coronavirus variant to be “of concern” and named it Omicron.

It had a large number of mutations, and early evidence suggested an increased reinfection risk, the WHO said.

It was first reported to the WHO from South Africa on 24 November, and has also been identified in Botswana, Belgium, Hong Kong and Israel.

A number of countries around the world have now decided to ban or restrict travel to and from southern Africa.

    As many critical thinkers like me know, The Austrian government are going to make the vaccine compulsory for all of its citizens. However, the Austrian Police (yes, the Police!) are now marching in solidarity with the ‘pro-choice’ demonstrators (27th November 2021) – FANTASTIC NEWS, BUT REMEMBER, YOU WON’T HEAR THIS FROM GASTON BROWNE, HIS CABINET OR ANY OF THE Main Stream Media.

      • I am a proud Antiguan and businessman, who contributes to the economy by paying my taxes and giving work to my fellow islanders (before the PLANDEMIC), whether they are vaccinated or not. Now, because I refuse to inject myself with this ‘gene therapy’ crap and nonsense vaccine, Gaston Browne will not allow fellow Antiguan’s like me to re-enter my beloved country.

        Gaston Browne appealed to people like me years ago, to come home and invest in Antigua – who, by the way, we contribute much more to the economy, long-term, than any single tourist; and he treats the diaspora by literally shutting down our businesses; locking us out of our homes; and just as importantly stopping us from giving work/employment to fellow Antiguan’s.

        I LOVE MY COUNTRY, BUT FOR GASTON BROWNE TO TREAT TOURISTS BETTER THAN ANTIGUAN’S, IS A FLAWED POLICY/MANDATE … AND IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!

        • Tourists have to be vaccinated too you know so same rules apply. Now I have to be vaccinated to work in the country of your birth so why should you not have to be vaccinated to at least visit it while living in my country?
          To be honest I agree to a point but keep facts straight, I’m pro-choice but keep a clear view.

          • If the vaccines worked I would be the first in line, however, a family friend of mine has suffered a stroke after being vaccinated (and with no underlying health issues), and another now cannot without the aid of a walking stick since being injected with the AstraZenca drug … why would I take a vaccine that is still in its trial stages until 2023?

            Surely, even you can see that something is amiss!

        • I go Business there as well and you are on point with a lot of what you say. I’m Vaccinated and I still you you get to choose for you. They give everybody the whole of Antigua and keep us out but not just this admin all past as well. All I ask is that they make All Saints , Villa, Cahsew Hill , Johnston Village, Liberta and the other villages economic zones and give us 40 year concessions like they give montzungu.

          • When I last travelled to my beloved Antigua, I was regularly tested, and the results were always negative.

            I even had 2-3 months supply of the rapid Antigen test kits, and was self testing every 2-3 days. How was this was ok a few months ago, but not now. Yet, the same said kits that I was regularly using on my last visit to the island, is now being allowed for use by this government, but, yet, the diaspora are being restricted.

            HISTORY – IN TIME – WILL PROVE WHO IS RIGHT, AND WHO GOT IT WRONG, BUT I WON’T BE COERCED INTO TAKING A TRIAL VACCINE WITH NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER TO PROTECT ME, MY FAMILY, OR MY BUSINESS INTERESTS!

    In countries all over the world that’s what the opposition parties do. They don’t support or contribute to any good thing the government is doing.
    Citizens have to be wise enough to know that the stand the opposition takes is not for the benefit of the people but for the benefit of themselves. Their goal is to get into power; to become the government. And when they achieve this goal they do the same thing that the current government is doing.
    Vaccines save lives. That’s the consensus of the world. All governments have consented that it MUST BE ADMINISTERED TO ALL CITIZENS IN THE COUNTRY.
    Statistics have shown that the majority of deaths by far are the unvaccinated.
    There’s no report that any vaccinated person who contracted the virus had any regrets for taking the vaccine.

    Just before the mandates my brother and I who lived overseas since we were kids were at the planning stages of of bringing the first of it’s kind buisness to Antigua well so much for that as we speak.
    When I visit Antigua I SPEND AND PUT IN THE ECONOMY WAY AND I MEAN WAY MORE THAN THE AVERAGE TOURIST.
    A childhood Doctor friend told me that his friend took the vaccine because of a mandate and got serious side effects including NEUREOLOGICAL PROBLEMS , TO SICK TO WORK , CAN’T SUE ANYONE AND LOST THE VERY SAME JOB THEY WERE TRYING TO SAVE.
