SamuelFields Consulting Group (SFCG), an eLearning consultancy that specializes in providing financial literacy to entrepreneurs and small businesses, has released its list of 20 LIKKLE GIFT IDEAS. This initiative is designed to assist Christmas shoppers in finding unique, innovative, locally crafted Christmas gifts in the marketplace. As pandemic restrictions are lifted, this campaign aims to generate significant business activity to help micro and small enterprises recapture lost revenues. It will also motivate both businesses and consumers to focus on how they can contribute to rebuilding the local economy.
Women-owned small businesses dominate the list of 20 LIKKLE GIFT IDEAS, including one micro business that is based on the sister island of Barbuda. According to the National Association of Women Business Owners in the US, part-time female entrepreneurs or sidepreneurs increased by 39% between 2017 and 2020, suggesting that a growing number of women see part-time entrepreneurship as a way to subsidize their income, help pay bills, build wealth, or follow a passion. The list also features a number of small businesses that embrace sustainability or are driven by a concern for the environment and social commitment.
The list of 20 LIKKLE GIFT IDEAS is broken down into 5 main categories: Art & Home Decor, Bags & Accessories, Event Planning, Food and Beverage and Health, Fitness and Beauty. The Gift of Knowledge is also critically important and three self-help/motivational books by local authors are featured on the list.
SHOP. SHARE. WIN.
Leading up to Christmas, small businesses on the 20 LIKKLE GIFT IDEAS will be featured in a digital gift guide and on the SamuelFields Consulting Facebook Page. Shoppers will be eligible to win prizes from this list of businesses by doing the following:
- Purchasing from small businesses on the list.
- Posting on social media why you shopped there and what’s great about them.
- Tagging 10 friends + SFCG on Facebook.
“The shopping season has officially begun and finding that special heartfelt token is not always easy. We have created this list of 20 LIKKLE GIFT IDEAS to spotlight small and micro businesses that are creating thoughtful, innovative, sustainable gift options, and to encourage patrons to shop locally,” said Megan Samuel-Fields, CEO of SFCG.
SMALL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS
As part of this Community Outreach Initiative, SFCG has partnered with West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) and Food Brokerage Services, champions of micro and small businesses. Two stipends of $1,000 and $500 will be awarded to the two most innovative and sustainable businesses featured in the program.
SFCG is also collaborating with the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority (ABIA) and the Antigua and Barbuda Chamber of Commerce, to provide small businesses with education and tools to help strengthen their operations. On December 3rd, SFCG hosted a virtual Masterclass for current and prospective small business owners under the theme “The Gift of Knowledge: Key Finance and Marketing Tools Small Businesses Need This Christmas.” To view poll results and engaging presentations by industry experts CLICK ON: https://youtu.be/HxtLa5dzpr4
