The Liberty ferry has returned to Antigua Cruise Port! L’Express des îles’ vessel arrived at Heritage Quay this morning with 423 passengers from Guadeloupe.
The ferry currently offers one-way service to Antigua, with passengers boarding only in Guadeloupe.
This marks the second visit of Liberty this year.

I agree so are they passing through or going back? plus why can’t Antiguan’s use it.
It comes in the morning with people from Guadeloupe (French, or European passports), to go back in the afternoon, it’s only a day trip charter that’s why it doesn’t take people in Antigua to go to Guadeloupe, still if you have an European passport you can take it to come and stay to go back with plane later or wait on the next ferry if there is one to go back, it is very cheap only 109 euros to go and come back, so it’s worth to take it even one way and combine it with a plane.
It’s really a pity they don’t do the opposite, take people from Antigua to bring Guadeloupe for the day shopping, it will be just perfect and full all the time
They saying that is an immigration issue but I believe Antiguan authorities don’t want people here to discover how cheap and good is everything in Guadeloupe, every body will rush to go there to buy everything, food, clothes, tools…. Much more choice
Guadeloupe is so near and now they took away the direct plane that liar was operating, making you pass through other islands, pays 5 times more the normal price and still take so much more time to tea h is ridiculous, so yes that boat will be the perfect solution, I hope some big head in the go t will decide soon to change the situation
There is a regular ferry service between Dominica a d both the French islands, almost every day, full of people full of shopping every time, works perfectly for how many decades already now, so WHY NOT ANTIGUA
These are not tourist obviously, these are transit passengers, at least I hope this is the arrangement for sure. These reporters needs to give more context with their reporting, sometimes they come across like paparazzi journalists instead of real news programs..smdh.
