LIAT shareholders to meet in Barbados

0

A LIAT shareholders’ meeting is to be held in Barbados soon.

Word of this from Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, who says this is necessary to deal with the issues which have long been plaguing the regional carrier.

Barbados is a majority shareholder in LIAT, with a 49.5% stake.

The other major shareholders are Antigua & Barbuda, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Dominica.

Ms. Mottley says the people of the region deserve to have the problems with LIAT resolved, as, without transport, there can be no CARICOM Single Market.
