LIAT SCHEDULE DISRUPTION DUE TO MAINTENANCE ISSUES

St. John’s, Antigua, November 7, 2023

– LIAT wishes to advise that due to

unscheduled maintenance issues that there will be a disruption to its regular flight

schedule. The issues have caused LIAT to suspend its current schedule as it works to

resolve the issues and put its aircraft back into schedule. However, due to logistical

and supply chain issues, the airline does not have a concrete deadline for the return

to its regular schedule. Therefore, several flights in the coming weeks have been

cancelled.

LIAT acknowledges that this disruption will cause a major inconvenience to its

customers at this time. However, the safety of our passengers, crew and ground staff

are of the utmost importance.

LIAT is currently exploring all available options to assist passengers at this time. Our

Reservations Call Centre is currently contacting affected passengers to assist with

their travel needs. The airline is also working diligently to expedite the maintenance

process so the airline can resume its regular schedule which is essential to

connectivity in the region.

Passengers are asked to monitor their e-mails and LIAT’s social media platforms for

updates. Due to the high volume of calls, we ask that passengers await their contact

calls or to contact the airline via email at [email protected]

LIAT sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this schedule disruption

and looks forward to resuming service soon.

  1. Good try Antigua but this sounds like the nail in the coffin. In this busy World with increase in regional traveling needed , increase tourism arrivals in Antigua and the Caribbean and now home porting LIAT do not have the capacity to handle. The Caribbean needs a properly well managed, well scheduled airline service. Don’t seems like Antigua can handle this alone.
Was hearing about the deal with Air Piece now silence .

  2. Why doesn’t this man Gaston just stop wasting our money? LIAT is all but dead but just like wasting so much money to beat Shugy and still lose, the same is done for LIAT with the same result pending.

  3. You mean the Guyanese DME failed once again? Or is it part of the plan between the Guyanese DME, The Guyanese Administrator and the Trini Lawyer, the Trini flight attendant along with the Trini head of flight operations, in the back pocket of Mr MIA, working internally to bring down LIAT so that both CAL and InterCaribbean may replace LIAT?

Meanwhile, the little Antiguan pilot / DFO sits there “dottish” because he ain’t qualified for the job but have been given big position to run up and down like a headless chicken so he feels good being among the “big guys”.

The “Worl Boss” was warned to get rid of all of them. Now it is coming to bite him in the most posterior of places. “Worl Boss” remember the last general elections, if you get this wrong you can kiss the PM position good bye.

You are being informed once again. Get rid a dem.

    • # boss, both CAL and INTER have already taken over the undertaker done remove the straps from the lift the last rights for liat.

  4. Had several busines associates due here for a Monday meeting…stranded in BVI due to LIAT CANCELLING their flight to Antigua on Sunday…no notice given, until they were already at the airport. But guess what??? Instead of rebooking at no charge, like any and every legit airline, they were told that they had to purchase a new ticket…and they should go to the LIAT office in Antigua for a refund.
we have filed complaints with IATA.
And that Brown jackass leader thinks he can fight CAL?
