LIAT 2020 is set to serve the Antigua/St. Lucia route for the next two weeks, with plans to expand soon. CEO Hafsaf Abdulsalam announced on Tuesday that flights will be launched to five additional islands, including St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Kitts and Nevis.
“We will expand further into larger Caribbean territories in the south, adding 11 new destinations in September,” Abdulsalam explained. The expansion will include Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, and the airline plans to grow its fleet.
“By the end of year one, we aim to introduce our new generation E2 195 narrow-body aircraft, a 128-seater. This will allow us to expand flights to Panama and, hopefully, with ECCA’s Cat 1 status, to Miami, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands,” Abdulsalam said.
The CEO also emphasized that while ticket prices will remain competitive and affordable, the airline aims to be sustainable and profitable. They are seeking exemptions from other governments to benefit travelers.

Just asking for information.
Is this a commercial commuter airline or a charter service?
If it is an airline, what is its real name? LIAT 2020 or LIAT 20?
Where is this airline registered? Where is it home based?
Who owns this airline?
Seeing that it still bears the name LIAT, are the other shareholders of the former LIAT 1974 Ltd. Involved in any way in the new LIAT?
I’m seeing a future expansion to the British Virgin Islands. Will the US Virgin Islands be apart of that expansion? We need it!

Could we have at least ONE of the flights to St. Lucia landing at UVF, our international airport, weekly? Why does every single flight to St. Lucia from the neighbouring islands have to land at GFL? Please people, serve the south of the island as well. Thank you.
I don’t like the sound of a political plane, so I will give it 5 years to see if it’s safe to fly on because nothing in the sky to hold unto ,no politicians should be pushing planes to the sky, pressure might be brought on the real engineering people behind launching an airline to be expedient to let Gaston score political mileage, because what I am even seeing again it’s the same mistake of liat, unless liat isn’t going to move cargo from Puerto Rico mainly and tap into what Amerijet and FedEx does in having quick delivery of goods between the Caribbean islands it’s a lost again for LIAT, and these shadow executive out of Nigeria cannot overnight expect us to put our lives into there hands as far as safety and customer service, will they be able to put you in a hotel if there is an inconvenience brought on by the airline? And with government close involvement that will take away you rights as a customer by politicians who will treat you as a voter. It’s a wonderful idea of having an airline but LIAT past experiences was unprofessionalism, since government is involve they will have their paramours get entitlement to job, frank southwell knows what am talking about, because as a mechanic at liat he had more free tickets for young girls than you could imagine, so liat was financially challenge, the last straw that break liat back was the ALP government under Lester bird and same Gaston brown who sold out liat routes to Puerto Rico to Stanford Caribbean sun, that’s the early morning flight and back in the night which brought fruit to liat, after that liat went down because that even wrecked the American eagle flights from Antigua, how can Gaston undone what he was complicit in? Because that was the time he took monies from Stanford on the television he and molwyn while Gail christian was salivating at the mouth shouting bring the money and come as though she was having an orgasm. Listen liat have to do a dedicated cargo service to find a nieche, so I will watch for now.
All OECS citizens know of the need for travel links among the Islands. Please include the USVI in your itinerary if you have not already done so. I’m particularly pleased to hear of the African involvement in Caribbean business. The airline is needed and may be operated efficiently, conveniently, and with good safety.

Indeed, a right ‘…Move in the Connectivity Direction.’
FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION
However, among the ‘…Fundamental Questions,’ that shall be boldly and curiously ask is that as the ‘…LIAT-20 Chief Executive Officer (CEO),’ for reasons, only of ‘…IDENTIFICATION:
‘…Just who is ‘…HAFSAF ABDULSALAM: ‘…West Indian or …NIGERIAN?’
She is ‘…Cutting Operational Ribbon’ with a ‘…SMILE.’
