LIAT 2020 Expected to Resume Flights Soon with Six Aircraft Deployment

11

Officials are hopeful that LIAT 2020 will resume flights in less than a month. Ambassador Daven Joseph, the Interim Chairman, stated that the airline is expected to be fully operational, starting with the six aircraft they plan to deploy.

The government has arranged to purchase three aircraft from LIAT 1974 Limited through the Caribbean Development Bank for $US 12.1 million. The signing of the agreement is imminent, with Antigua and Barbuda set to deposit $US 4.1 million to acquire the first aircraft.

Joseph expressed hope that the acquisition of the Air Operators Certificate (AOC) and the aircraft will be completed within the next two to three weeks. The government is also collaborating with Nigeria’s Air Peace to launch LIAT 2020, aiming to operate with six aircraft, with potential plans for fleet expansion.

He noted that one LIAT aircraft is operational, while the other two are undergoing maintenance, with the goal of having all three operational by September.

  1. What a damn Liat coincidence!

Maintenance and safety issues were mentioned just a couple of days ago on ANR, when the commencement Liat flights were recently announced; and now they are undergoing maintenance as highlighted by Daven Joseph.

SURELY THIS CAN’T BE A REACTION TO THE INTELLIGENCE OF ANR COMMENTATORS?

    I could be wrong again … 😉

    • Brixie,
This is not about any maintenance and safety issue.
THIS IS ABOUT WHO OWNS THE SHARES IN THIS LIAT(2020)?
FOLLOW THE HISTORY OF THE NEMBERS AS TO WHAT IS BEING CONTRIBUTED BY EACH PARTNER
THEN FOLLOW THE HISTORY OF THE STRUCTURE OF OWNERSHIP OF LIAT (2020).
HALF OF A PROPOSED AIRLINE LIAT (2020) IS BEING STOLEN FROM UNDER THE NOSES OF ANTIGUANS AND BARBUDANS AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING NOTICE.

Look at what each Partner is contributing. That is not 70% Air Peace, and 30% Antigua deal.

Air Peace holding up to 45% to 50% ownership for individuals unknown.

This is an attempt to steal up to 50% of LIAT(2020) ownership from the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

It’s an attempt to use as many constantly revised numbers as they can to steal and hide up to 50% of the ownership of LIAT (2020) from the Antiguan and Barbudan people.

THE NUMBER CHANGE EVERY WEEK SOMETIMES LESS THAN A WEEK.

THE ONLY THING THAT DOES NOT CHANGE IS THE PUBLISED BREAKDOWN OF THE OWNERSHIP.

The numbers associated with the amount being borrowed by Antigua and what Air Peace is contributing to the ownership of LIAT (2020) changes almost by the week.

Last week the amount of the roll over loan from The Caribbean Development bank was $60 million.
Antigua is only getting 30% ownership of LIAT (2020) when it is borrowing $60 Million as part of its contribution. All of a sudden, we were informed Air peace is buying LIAT Hangers and Terminal.

Remember Air Peace was supplying initially two planes as the ownership was questioned it was revised to 3 aircrafts and the possibility of jets to carry 200 people.

Folks!! Wake up and recognize you are being robbed. BIG TIME!!!
Don’t take my words for it. Go back and read all the announcements about the coming of LIAT(2020)

  2. Pray tell,
WHO will risk flying with Liat having lost tickets and dollars with the ‘administrator’ instructed by A&B govt?
WHO will risk working for Liat unless they are paid weekly IN FULL?
The RISK seems to be on A&B people, who else paying these loans? And the RISK is on the new list workers and travelers.
    CHUPSE.
    Let’s see what transpires.
Meantime pay the monies due to liat 1974 workers and travelers.

    • @ Alert
You hit the nail on the head with this one I’ve said it all along I wouldn’t be flying liat ever again. Anyone remember this guy ” on the sidelines ” he could tell you what Browne boy had for breakfast lunch and dinner he had his head so far up Browne boy ass but anyone booking flights with liat doing it at your own risk.

  3. is Liat safe after the breakup. What’s this of planes maintenance repairs. Sounds like risky business. No word from Gonzalves the lead small island windbag (along with black adolf )on the dodgy liat thing. Who gwine risk flying Liat? Not me. Caribbean Airlines, Inter Caribben, Virgin doing the business

  4. This fork tongue administration is at it again..waw..

This new debacle have more twist and turns than a Hollywood script written and directed by Quentin Quarantino to backside.. 😂

Bwoi Antigua people just salt with these scoundrels in office.

    One lie covering another lie..

Well if UPP members are a dunce bunch, well this ABLP administration are a set of teefing rarse people.

I’ve actually ran out of superlatives for this bunch a criminals. Smdh.

  5. @ Islanman26

It’s not that simple as: “Well if UPP members are a dunce bunch, well this ABLP administration are a set of teefing rarse people”

It is immoral and ungodly for the churches who witnesses the advantage being taken, to pray with the victims and then pray over Gaston at Cabinet Meetings where they carry The teefing.

Theses same church leaders are quick to say we are a Christian nation.

What a joke. They are just members of The Mob.

  6. These are Gaston’s word from content written by or on his behalf to shape public perception positively about LIAT 2020.

The Church Leaders, The Unions and The Oppositions stand aside and watch 45% of LIAT(2020) ownership gets stolen.

Gaston and Chet Greene who signed the deal; are going to bed smiling every night knowing that piece of LIAT(2020) ownership is being hidden by Air Peace and no one is talking about it.

  7. I am coming to Antigua, soon.Could someone telll me.When would be established as soon. What time in life is soon.Soon and the twelfth of never are they one and the same.LIAT 2020,WOULD BE FLYING”SOON”.

  8. Here we go… big plans big dollars, shit management, shit government… all one and the same… still! While the dismissed works are unpaid, Papa bird is surely rolling in his grave…

Gaston and his group of idiots are disgraceful cunts! Pay the people in full and maybe, just maybe your karma may get better… Until then, enjoy FAILURE!
