This significant expansion aims to provide travelers with greater access across the Caribbean, catering to both business and leisure markets.

CEO Hafsaf Abdulsalam announced on Tuesday that flights will be launched to five additional islands after serving Antigua for some time, including St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Kitts and Nevis.

“We will expand further into larger Caribbean territories in the south, adding 11 new destinations in September,” Abdulsalam explained. The expansion will include Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, and the airline plans to grow its fleet.

“By the end of year one, we aim to introduce our new generation E2 195 narrow-body aircraft, a 128-seater. This will allow us to expand flights to Panama and, hopefully, with ECCA’s Cat 1 status, to Miami, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands,” Abdulsalam said.

The CEO also emphasized that while ticket prices will remain competitive and affordable, the airline aims to be sustainable and profitable. They are seeking exemptions from other governments to benefit travelers.

  1. Well they cannot cry down LIAT anymore so they are quiet. How sad these UPP cronies. Always wishing and hoping for the worst for this country. That is there modus of operandi. Nothing positive.

  2. You have every right to be suspicious. But let us celebrate our country’s achievement. A small island nation owning its own airlines is brilliant

    • the Nation has every right to eb suspicious of UPP!!! With countless people FLEEING the Man Cow Cult, the Nation is HEAVILY SCRUTINIZING every move of the UPP!! Those people cannot be trusted and should never ever govern Antigua & Barbuda!

      NOT DEM AGAIN!!!

  3. Why are we politicizing the article. The article states the expansion of route’s that include islands of the diaspora. I would have preferred to see a route that covers the entire Caribbean from Guyana in the south to Jamaica in the north and beyond to include Cuba the Bahamas, Bermuda and finally Belize before they think about expanding to Panama. Maybe Venezuela and finally Miami by the 1st anniversary. I honestly think that the US Virgin Island and Puerto Rico should be next to be added to the ever expanding routes.

  4. The Airline is actually 70% owned by Air Peace a Nigerian airline and they might use one of the 195 Air Peace ordered for them, but it is still a good development 🇳🇬🤝🇦🇬

  5. The USVI should have been included in the first few islands. It is hard for persons to get to and from there without having to go here and there. Not working on anything later!

  6. The US vergin islands should have been the first to mention we had our family members in St. Croix and St. Thomas it have been so hard for them to come and we to go to them

  7. I hope LIAT PAY MR CHERUBIN a staff member in ST CROIX the AWARD of 1.55 million U.S dollars in DAMAGES handed down by the U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS SUPREME COURT.LIAT WAS found GUILTY of violating THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS CIVIL RIGHTS ACT in the sudden TERMINATION of MR CHERUBIN, based on age DISCRIMATION. FACT CHECK ANR MAY 13TH 2019.

  8. G.B thinks he could MANIPULATE the U.S. COURTS like what he is doing with the ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA HIGH COURT REFERENCE TO LIAT (1974)LTD WORKERS SEVERANCE.Up to this date there is no RESOLUTION.
