LETTER:Mr Max Fernandez & his team is graded 8 out 10 for their stewardship of tourism

19

Dear Mr. Fernandez

As a frequent visitor to your beautiful island where land & sea makes beauty, it is indeed a pleasure of mine to extend the courtesies of tipping my hat to you for the great works that you & your competent team are doing within the ministry responsible for tourism in Antigua & Barbuda.

Clearly, it is evident that you are taking your tourism product to a next Level; a Level that the citizenry & the Gaston Browne’s administration can surely be proud of and boast about. Obviously, you are setting a pace for others to follow.

Presently, I am in Antigua and I must confess that I am amazed to see the sight of several mega cruise ships docking at your port in St. John’s.

The spectacle has left me breathless.

In addition, the sight of thousands of tourists disembarking the ships and gracing their presence on your beautiful island surely reminds me of the metropolitan activity back home in Europe.

I can only imagine, what this new enhancement is generating for your GDP

It would be remiss of me if commendations are not given about the hospitality offered in 268. Certainly, it is second to none! Immediately, upon arrival, the beautiful bright glowing colours of your nation’s flag instantly stamps its signature of the island’s sovereignty.

Thereafter, the island’s topography, the white sandy beaches, the crystal clear sea water, the sun, the indigenous pan & calypso music, the sweet smelling cusines blended with the palatable foods, the entertainment spots & the friendly people certainly makes Antigua unique and one of the best place to visit & undoubtedly to live in the Caribbean.

So far, if I were to grade you, you would get an 8 out of 10.

Adding some public toilets in St. John’s & at the main beach sites, along with improving the sidewalks for the handicaps to facilitate those who have motorised transportation and constructing a photo museum to host a brief bio of your sports/cultural legends will surely upgrade you to 10 out of 10.

Alex

        • 5 more years of you crying and being miserable🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 must be nice to keep ur full time job niw go qipe the eggs of ur face 🍳🍳🍳🤡🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

          • Antigua’s autochthonous citizens will continue to hold Gaston Browne and the ABLP to account, until this country finds a leader like the calibre of the Honourable Mia Mottley from Barbados.

You may enjoy a lying and duplicitous leader that NEVER responds to the country’s issues, but many critical thinkers do not @ Red Dead …

          • And U WILL BITTER AND MISERABLE for the next 5 years now continue to work CLOWN🤡🤡🤡 5 MORE YEARS OF MISERY AND BITTERNESS. Oh how it burns u 🍳🍳🍳🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  1. Leave poor Max Jack! He used to have a Parliamentary Aide when he just had Tourism, now they triple his workload with Aviation and Investment and take away the Parliamentary Aide. Further the PM still running the Airport Authority so that the folks there could effectively continue to use the resources of the state to bankrupt those who will not give way to his self enrichment schemes.
Rumour has it that the helicopter business and the small jets as they are white owned has his full support, and his plans for the airport includes himself through his son spreading to out include the lands now owned inside the airport.
Poor Max has the problem of a good upbringing, and whose last years in government has so impoverished his family business, that he had to mess up his name by selling the family property to the government, and have his name in people mouth.
What is worse, Max cannot get the Airport Authority to carry out his directives, because they conflict with Gaston’s objectives, and they are accustomed to taking orders from GB only!

  2. Keep up the good works Max! You are the best Tourism minister in the Caribbean. Your works is surely taking us to the NEXT LEVEL!!

    • 🤣🤣🤣 Then why is he leaving office @ Bluddy Bloke if he’s taking us to the next level?

As always with Gaston Browne and ABLP supporters, as the song goes:

🎶 Clowns to the left of me, 🎵 Jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you 🎶… 😂😂😂

🎧 WHEEL, REWIND AND COME AGAIN BRIXTONIAN! 🎤

      • @ Brixtonian: Sorry to say that & the blue flies of UPP cannot & will not be able get Gaston Browne out of the race… You are going to be tired to see his face. Btw here’s a little secret soon & very soon UPP will implode

  3. I use to wonder what PM Browne said that Antigua will become an economic powerhouse. He even had a slogan 500 houses in 500 days? Then most recently he proclaimed that he and his team is taking Antigua and Barbuda next level. My peoples laugh and tell mr that I have “drank his koolaid”. Pay attention this man and his team is really taking us and our beautiful twin island State to the next level for real. Enough respect!!!!

  4. Who is this Alex??
This smells to high heaven of fish!
    Some administration are so desperate..smh

  5. Max and Gaston, Rural North is in dire Need of proper roads, drainage and the other necessary infrastructures. Self praise is no recommendation!!! Shame a Aru bad!!!

  6. Where was Max born? (Guyana I believe). Where is mr. Byam when you need him?Was he given Tourism portfolio because of the color of his skin? Whose money paid for Deluxe Cinema? ( Conflict of interest maybe?Self enrichment??) Why would a tourist leave a country to come spent money in a country where the prices are EXORBITANT ( a hamburger for nearly $6US/ no authentic food on sale?) Do they shop or just sight see? And what a sight – pot holes, vendors selling on the pavement with produce displayed on crocus bag or cardboard? No tourist sites in walking distance? Where do they sit to have a meal or snack? Now supposing ten of then need to use the public bathroom all at once? And the list goes on. That you writer Alex for opening my eyes.
