It is evident that election is around the corner. Billboards continue to be erected and the political talk shows on the radios are now blasting to their full optimum. Obviously, the political parties are doing their utmost best to win the hearts & minds of the electorates.
The energy of UPP is presently high. The political party should be commended because with the limited resources that they have in store, clearly they are trying everything in the book to become victorious in this election.
Unfortunately, many things has gone against UPP. The candidates’ repertoire & the party’s poor performance during 2004 & 2014 has contributed to placing a nail in their own coffin for this upcoming election.
Because the UPP candidates are politically inexperienced and intellectually impaired, the majority of the citizenry do not have any confidence in the candidates that they can manage the affairs of the state.
To add salt to a wound, it is percieved that the members of UPP, function on a platform of disrespect, hate, bitterness, vile and anger. As a result, persons are fearful of UPP repeating the same mistake of focusing on the Labour party’s 28 years in office rather than taking care of the people’s business.
Sad to say, their dismal performance for the 10 years while in office formed a dark cloud in the minds of many and now, their sins have come back to haunt them.
If “Raising our standard & raising it bodly is our national tagline ” then questions need to be asked
1. Why should UPP be voted into office, since they don’t respect the Prime Minister?
2. Why should UPP be voted into office, since they show no respect to the female politicians in the current ABLP administration ?
3. Why should UPP be voted into office since POWA, a female arm of UPP, always keep silent whenever females in ABLP are verbally abused?
4. Why should UPP be voted into office since they closely align themselves with a NIGHT OWL & a SOCIAL MEDIA JUNKY who spews profanity, venom & hate and behave out of character on a particular radio station & social media platform?
5. Why should UPP be voted into office since one of their former parliamentarian shows no reverence in parliament by sticking up their middle finger to advocate profanity?
6. Why should UPP be voted into office since one of their hierarchy was under an halucination asking for a gun licence to go around & kill?
7. Why should UPP be voted into office since a former leader in their organization gave instructions to chop up the tax collectors?
8. Why should UPP be voted into office since one of their members used derogative terms against our Caricom brothers & sisters referring to them as thieves & paupers?

12. Why should UPP be voted into office since one of their prominent lawyers was ordered by the court to be relieve of his public position because he was deemed to abrasive?

14. Why should UPP be voted into office since a young innocent girl who was pregnant was shot and killed by a UPP candidate?

GASTON Fitzroy BROWNE this is the most ridiculous article you have writes so far. What does the results of the 2004 and 2014 elections have to do with the present circumstances. The ascendancy of the UPP since those defeats is driving you and the ALP crazy. You are the incumbent and the scanty attendance speaks volumes. People generally try to identify with the government in power, especially those on the fence, but from the attendance at your rallies it is evident your support is in serious decline. People are fed up with the ALP’s poor performance. It is the worse 8 years performance of any government in our short political history.

Speaking of IMF, what is the state of our affairs currently. Where is the accountability for monies borrowed from IMF, from Chinese investors, CIP revenue and all the monies Gaston received for the pandemic, from private investors? Where did it all go?
Speaking about the pandemic and people loosing their jobs. Gaston sent home people, take bread out their mouth for his own selfish gains. He deprived the elderly and disabled by denying them the pauper relief if they are not vaccinated. Dying of hunger could’ve killed them faster than not getting the vaccine.

Emergency Medical Services were there attending to Ms. Barthley. There was blood on her neck. The detectives spoke with Bowen. We should vote UPP for several reasons but I will just state a few here.
UPP did not send us home without pay for two months for refusing to take a vaccine, ABLP did.
UPP did not use tear gas, mostly rubber bullets and a few live rounds on us for refusing to take the vaccine.
UPP did not promote self enrichment among the politicians as did the leader of the ABLP.
UPP did not have 26+ failed investment/projects.
Look, there are so many more reason but I will stop there.
You are likely to say UPP could not have done those things because there were not in power; exactly, ABLP was and they did so never again.
A vote for ABLP is to say I appreciate their stewardship but I do not.

I don’t know why people are talking about UPP. I’m not affiliated with any party whatsoever. They are all humans not GODS. I vote based on results. I voted against UPP in the last election because they became stagnant. Now now I will be voting against ALP because they are selfish and tyrants and their leader is very immature. As it pertains to results, they have nothing significant to show. ALP ministers have no back bone and allow their leader to do as he please which only cause the people of Antigua to suffer. Why would I vote for any ALP minister? I’m voting for UPP this time and if they can’t present results, I’ll vote them out in the next election. Simple!!!
