I am writing this on behalf of my self and all tour guides. Since covid-19 cruise ships are no longer able to come to Antigua so all tour guides no longer have a source of income and we are also an important part of tourism.
Some of us like myself have kids to feed and family to maintain. I see they have set up care program and other stuff to help hotel workers what about us tour guides who have been suffering for a while now.
Don’t get me wrong I am happy for hotel workers but they need to draw attention to tour guides; because it is like we are forgotten or not important. We tour guides need help too, as our source of income has gone – God knows how long.

I’m a tour guide as well and I support this letter 100% what happen to us that have children to feed and no work is on going anymore. We are left dry plus the several companies that we work for don’t even compensate or give anything sustainable to help maintain our families during this time….we understand there no income at the present moment…so what even happen to food supplies? And when tourism time come we are dependent on for proper service and not even appreciated…… I’m happy someone even wrote this letter and I hope the prime minister could even consider this letter on behalf of other tour guides…
