This is a strange country where no one in the public sector is ever held accountable.
5 Haitians escaped from custody, and a few days later 6 Indians are also missing.

And as a matter of interest, they said the Indians came in early May and it seemed that immigration only realised this week that the people are missing.
The Chief Immigration Officer must be relieved of her post now.
It should not matter that her father is a Minister.
This must serve as a lesson to all politicians.
Do not do political favours with key positions and put square pegs in round holes.
Our national security is now under threat and no one will be held accountable.
If anything like this happened in the private sector that person would be fired immediately.
And where is the Minister of Immigration in all of this? He has been very silent.

So these Haitians we identified at immigration as having improper documents. They were sent to the holding facility pending deportation that is run by the defense force. They escaped the holding facility that is guarded 24x7x365 by the defense force. And the responsibility for their escape is the Chief Immigration Officer? That is the problem with this country everyone points fingers in the wrong direction.

The chief immigration officer cannot be responsible for the dissaperance of the Indians. The Indians were legally landed so there was no use to monitor them. When it was time for them to depart, the system will show that they didn’t board the flight. That is the time it became a concern. The Indians overstaying is like any other country nationals overstaying in Antigua. There is no difference when Antiguans travel to America and overstay their Visa. When immigration catch you although you were legally landed you will be deported. So no one can be blamed because there was a no show of the Indians. Everything in this country malicious people involved politics in it. What does that have to do if her father is a minister. Them thing happening all the time with people travelling from one place to another.
Her father had nothing to do with her getting that position. When you don’t know anything don’t speculate.

Nepotism never works!
Time and time again, I’ve seen how family and relatives somehow get influential posts and positions in high profile jobs – it never seems to end well.
The problem with nepotism, is that when things go belly-up, these people are not held to the same standards, scrutiny and accountability as the rest of us.
I’ve witnessed this first-hand, when a senior manager employed his WATLESS son to run a business branch and lead a team of staff. Suffice to say, his son couldn’t run a bath, let alone run a business; and instead of sacking the son for gross incompetence, negligence and unable to manage, the father sent in a team of people to clean up his son’s mess.
Here was someone who loved the title of manager, but just couldn’t manage at all.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Ms Yearwood should step-down forthwith …
