LETTER: Terrorized by burglars and vandals

7

The street I live on in Radio Range has in recent days been terrorized by burglars and vandals.

Every car battery has been stolen from every car on that street.

Burglars broke into the house next door where an elderly lady lives by herself, thankfully she has travelled.

They stole everything the lady owns and to top it all off they did a number 2 in her toilet and didn’t even flush it!

They broke into another neighbors house and stole all her planting equipment and all her vegetables that she sells. I mean really! I am begging the police to please patrol some more and make your presence known.

Every morning you see everybody checking to see if their car battery is still there!

We can’t live in this constant fear anymore! It’s just getting to overbearing to deal with this plus all this Covid drama.

WE NEED TO SEE MORE POLICE PRESENCE!

  1. Happened in five islands too. Curfew give them freedom as most people sleep earlier. There is no police patrol and if just if as it does not happen the police do a patrol they can hear the vehicle approaching and are able to vacate the area.

No policing is being done after curfew starts

  2. The police new mandate is to check for persons who are not wearing mask and check persons to see if they are vaccinated.

  3. Hatton has been a hot spot too. Broken windows, stolen batteries and contents within the vehicles. Citizens are left to do their own policing at nights.
    This cannot be life.
