LETTER: Sea Pollution In Antigua

0

Dear Hon. Molwyn Joseph,

For many years there has been a red-rust colored substance that would circulate within the sea currents of the dredge bay/deep water harbour and along the western coastline. For many years the source could not be discerned, until now. See attached video, images of the source and a report done by the United States Environmental Protection Agency concerning the effects of distillery wastes on the marine environment.

Would this not classify as toxic tide pollution, which kills wildlife and endanger livelihoods as outlined in the “United Nations Clean Sea Campaign” of which Antigua and Barbuda have recently signed onto? Your prompt attention to this matter is needed.
