To my fellow employee, let me help you, I saw you made an effort in trying to plead your case, rightfully so let me show you how it is done.

 

Permanent Secretary of ABTB

What is really your role within the Antigua & Barbuda Transport Board? Isn’t your role a more vital role, even more than the actual Minister of Parliament? I asked these questions because I want to know, how can you sit on a board and be forced to have your decisions questioned by the Minister of the ABTB? I urge you to stand your ground and do what it is that you were elected to do.

 

 

Minister of Parliament

Now we all know that you are totally against a board committee within an organization, is that the main reason why it is encouraged to disrespect your fellow party member the chairman with his decisions? Making him out to be the laughing stock, is it because the General Manager sits on your door steps every Sunday afternoon to laugh and discuss, why are you afraid to let him know that he is doing an awful job at running a company because his head is so far up God knows where? I think you should pay attention to the entire story because there are 3 sides to a story.

 

 

Chairman 

Sometime ago you stood in parliament and talked about how dumb your constituents were, I laugh because its people like you who make managers like our feel they can insult and call the staff any derogative names they feel. You are absent within your constitution, at least drop in on the job that pays you and show some form of interest.

 

 

 

General Manager

When I was going to school, my mother always used to tell me to be a leader and not a follower, in your case I am not quite sure where you stand. I am ashamed of your lack of empathy. Why should it be “ok” for a junior staff member to pass their head of department and come directly to you and you act upon it with nothing but hatred and feelings?

 

 

The way in which you handled the situation these past few months has been running off of the ears of hearsay, since the staff is not allowed to come to you and speak, we are heard from this platform.

 

 

Mr. GM we are tired of you, a true leader looks out for his people making sure they are comfortable in ways possible. I pray you choose your own way before it’s too late.

 

 

Acting Manager of the Government Motorpool (ABTB)

Now to you sir, you got your minute of fame it’s actually time to put your feelings aside and work for the betterment of your staff, you were given this person because they saw it fit for you, but tell me how is it that you significant other gets picked up and dropped straight to her home while the rest of transport board staff has to find their own means of transportation. While trying to spite one employee, be careful who gets tangled in your web. It is because of you why the Transport Board is so “chaotic” in your words.

 

 

Look around sir you came around seeking revenge and instead got the entire staff to hate you. How did you accomplish that? Think of ways to win your staff not turn them against you, I guess you really leave a print on those you really meet.

 

 

Antigua & Barbuda Workers Union

I think it’s time you made a collective agreement for your organization to stop taking out our money. Weeks the staff has reached out to you about the mistreatment, some of our calls went unanswered, our complaints fell on deaf ears. You gladly called many staff to strike against the government mandate, now we need you, not present. Why are we even paying you $40? clearly to do nothing. Please figure it out, call your union meeting cause we are ready to take a stand against the victimization taking place now.

 

 

 

So you see people of Antigua, where the deficiency within the ABTB lies? The fact that there is no unity and the management staff constantly joins with junior staff in tearing down other managers.

 

 

There is not one person thinking clearly enough to say “enough is indeed enough”.
