LETTER: Questions for Commissioner Atlee Rodney

DEAR EDITOR:

 

I have been holding my tongue, but this is overbearing now!!!!

Police — protect and ………

 

I find it funny that members of Team Savage were ticketed  or an illegal  gathering but a police prosecutor was seen at a bar with 20-plus people on the 18/9/21. A report was made and nothing.

 

If the police want to gain trust with the public again, they need to take action against that officer.

 

Mr. Commissioner of Police, you need to make an example of that officer.

Questions for you Commissioner of Police

How many of your officers have COVID-19 right now (that wasn’t traced to their work environment but linked to guest house parties?)

How many of your officers are in quarantine?

 

As old people say, ‘If the top slack the middle and bottom can’t tight.’

Also, this double standard of people’s living environment needs to change. Your officers are quick to harass people from low-income neighborhoods but turn a blind eye to the stuff that happens in the so-called high-end neighborhoods!!!

 

If your officers are enforcing the law, then said officers should abide by the said laws.

 

And oh yes, officers are sending people’s vehicles to the motor pool because of expired license tag even though the vehicles are insured, but yet still if you check the tags on some police vehicles they are expired.

 

And look into your said officers’ private vehicles that are neither licensed nor insured but are on the government’s road!!!!

 

Respect and trust are earned and not just given.
