LETTER: UPP’s George Whenner has proven to the Labourites that he is a force to reckon with

Wehner

Dear Editor,

Yesterday, I watched and listened quite keenly to the interview between Mr. Burford, the news anchor for ABS, our national broadcasting station and Mr. George Wehner, the UPP candidate for the upcoming by-election in St. Peters.

I must admit, that I was extremely impress with Mr. Wehner’s composure. Initially, I thought he would be intimidated by Mr Burford,  but he certainly prove me wrong and proved to the nation that he is a force to reckon with.

Although his temperament flared a trifle bit,  overall, I think Mr. Whenner maintained his composure. He was calm, eloquent, very focused and it was pelucid that he came prepared with facts to counteract any proposing arguments by Mr. Burford..

It was very obvious that Mr. Burford ambushed Mr. Wehner with some piercing questions.  However,  Mr. Wehner maintained his ground and clearly displayed that he cannot be pushed from his crease that easy.

Throughout the interview, some of the questions I found to be very bias, perculiar & perhaps vindictive to say the least. Hence, I was left to wonder why Ms. Joanne Massiah’s comments was specifically a reference thrown at Mr. Wehner. Was it really necessary?

Listening to Ms. Massiah during some of her interviews at other media houses, it certainly appears that she does have a gripe against UPP. As a result, perhaps Mr. Wehner’s response of offering some ” gripe water ” was quite appropriate.

Overall, I graded Mr. Wehner very high for his interview. From the interview, it is clear that he has now become a thorn in the flesh of many supporters of ABLP.

Of course, I do not see Mr. Wehner as being victorious in this upcoming by-election in St. Peters. Mr. Rowdon Turner will be the better representative for St. Peter’s, however I do see Mr. Wehner as a future candidate for the lower house of parliament.

If not, he will surely be a perfect fit to be appointed as a senator in the upper house.

Alex

  1. Not a supporter of his party, but I will support his right to his convictions.
He is from Grammar School. We will always be a reckoning force. Semper Virens

  2. He is arrogant and don’t deserve to be running in St Peters he is a non-entity and St Peter’s don’t want no kind of sniper you want to Humble soul

  3. It would be great to see Trevor Walker & George Whenner in parliament….

I am sure they will be a thorn in the Labourites flesh

  4. Imagine Wehner billboard mark on “JOBS” and “HOUSING”

Meanwhile his job is to DRIVE AROUND John Ashe buddy and help him choose the right Tomato Paste in Perry Bay supermarket

As for housing, wehner has NO HOUSE OF HIS OWN, so how de heck he gonna help people get theirs???

  5. Written by an obvious UPP gay desperado. If the qualities you highlighted possessed by the guntotter make him a worthy adversary, then you clearly have no respect for the electorate.. And since when is the Barbudan “oops” anything other than a showy noisemaker in Parliament, one who forgets his homework at home on Speech Day? Come on! Why are our standards so low? Instead of encouraging the electorate to mature into intelligent, discerning beings, you delight in treating them like farm animals responsive only to the frenzied shouts and whips of a heartless owner. Sometimes, I wish I were born elsewhere!

  6. Seems like some people are afraid of the facts. Mr. Wehner is quite knowledgeable about what has happened in the past and so is well on his way to making sure these things are not repeated! We are with you Mr. Wehner! Change has to start somewhere.

  7. Wehner is a vile disgusting human being. Imagine that the UPP has no other so they throw up their vomit for the people of St. Peter’s and now pretend it’s goat water. So are they saying that because we support the UPP that we should be so blind as to accept any deranged lunatic. So if they put Jeffrey Dahmer in a blue shirt, we should just support knowing what we know. Wehner almost threw a supporter off the stage in All Saints East and St. Luke. The gentleman was intoxicated but was no threat, but Wehner so volatile and violent went berserk. Don’t be fooled by what you see Wehner no respect nobody.
