Good morning Sir/ Madam,
I would like to turn your attention to the many passengers who have been left stranded in several islands across the region due to issues associated with Intercaribbean Airlines.
It is alleged that Caribbean Airlines have bought out all the pilots from InterCaribbean.
InterCaribbean has been overbooking their flights, this happened with me and I volunteered to give up my seat and a child was also taken off the flight, just so the flight can be airborne.
On Tuesday, flights from InterCaribbean was a no show.
I urge you to investigate and advocate for the passengers.
Kind Regards,
Annoyed passenger.

Well as they say pick your poison. LIAT you all say was Leave Island Any Time, but atleast they left. Inter Caribbean now cancels flights at their whims and fancy and you are left stranded for days sometimes weeks.
Who can we the passengers turn to for help? Or which other airline? This not good for travelers🙈
Worst airline. Have a few stranded persons coming for an event in Dominica right now because they cancelled the flight.
Supposedly many of LIATs pilots are not working. Isn’t this an opportunity for the unemployed LIAT pilots?
Is there now a shortage of pilots? Annoyed Passenger is inferring that’s the case
Overbooking is standard airline business model. The question is are they leaving passengers stranded?
Market driven competition in most markets keeps the market sector healthy and efficient.
The Pilots Association who have been very vocal in looking out for the interests of its members with regards to LIAT obligations; should have been active in discussions with both airlines as they enter the market.
These are the issues local authorities should have been looking at and discussing rather than Africa Peace etc.
Many of the ex LIAT pilots did go to Inter. A whole group of them recently left to go to WinAir and Caribbean Airlines.
Shitty airline is InterCaribbean
They are a joke!!!! Get LIAT back in the air NOW!!! and send them back where they come from. I cannot believe Barbados back that airline and turn their backs on LIAT.
They did that long ago…remember their was a short lived airline…originating there..to challenge LIAT..while they are shareholders.
L. I. A. T. I say no more!
LIAT problems originated at the shareholders level…!!!!
Alarming how they…treated something they owned.
SO LIAT yes…..koto with them though.
I got bad service on my last trip to go Panama City. They miss my clotting bag an the customer service is bad! In Barbados! They don’t have respect and understand the situation they now put you in trouble and they after all just lied about the situation!
And they, Mia and Ralph, are putting all their eggs in Inter Caribbean and dump LIAT who had served them faithfully for decades. What a shame.
What are friends for?
Wowwwwww….so sad to hear this…..I have travelled with this airline many times and never had any problems…I am also scheduled to travel with them soon so I’m hoping this problem don’t last.
Yes they are leaving passengers stranded! Today is Thursday and they cancelled my flight from Antigua on Monday, I am still in Antigua!!! Intercaribbean is a mess and when you call them their customer service representatives are very rude and distasteful!
They cancelled my flight last year and left me stranded in Barbados. I had to out of pocket, purchase a ticket on Caribbean airlines. the Rep and supervisor at that station were extremely unprofessional; the Employees followed their lead. All this resulted due to the fact that upon making the online booking on their website, I had issues with paying by card to no fault of mine. I called their toll free number and was advised by their staff that I could pay at the airport counter in Grenada the following day. On arrival to the airport, the handling company advised me that they do not collect monies in any form at the counter. I had to retreat to the toll free number once again. The imbecile who answered the phone deducted from my card, more than the actual cost of the quotation I was given for the ticket. Imagine how many other persons they robbed and it went unnoticed. I emailed their head office and copied their managers. To date, they refused to apologise and or appropriately compensate; stating that I am not a regular passenger on their flight not even sensible enough to recognise they only recently started route to Grenada. It’s a rotten airline. The Rep refused to speak to me and only spoke to the supervisor over phone call. Naturally, with my aviation experience, the Rep is always on site when flight is on ground. The supervisor said, “the rep is never here”. People running the airline like their personal saltfish shop. I would also like to do an article and provide the emails I sent to intercaribbean and their backward responses.

Another ponzi scheme one needs to do a due deligence on inter caribbean maintenance and financial state. Also how the airline is structured it is a shell company with no assets so if it goes bust you would not get a refund on your ticket or what ever services you have provided. Mama Mia would tell you go to your respective ISLAND/COUNTRY for a refund it is a limited liability company and has no obligation to pay.In order to protect the consumers INTER CARIBBEAN needs to open an escrow account with the central bank of BARBADOS or the EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK and deposit a regulated set amount of U.S. dollars. So if the airline goes bust refunds and services will be protected .Failing the above buy the ticket at your own risk.
This is the most inconsiderate airline ever.
No customer service. They really don’t care. They cancelled my flight and I was stranded in Cuba for 3 days, they moved me from my 5 star hotel to a no star hotel, an experience I would not wish on anyone.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COST
