Commending the Calvin Ayre Foundation for Transforming Lives

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to commend the remarkable efforts of the Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF) in making a significant difference in the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances.

Recent news articles highlighting the foundation’s charitable initiatives have left an indelible impression on me and have inspired me to express my appreciation for their invaluable contributions.

One particular story that deeply resonated with me was that of Chevan Jones, who was airlifted to Santo Domingo for orthopedic surgery after a traumatic accident.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation’s funding of the US$39,000 flight not only ensured Chevan’s safe travel but also covered the cost of his surgery and recovery. Their swift response to the family’s plea for assistance showcases their commitment to helping those in dire need.

Similarly, the case of 7-year-old burn victim T’rique Jeffery demonstrates the life-saving impact of CAF’s support.

By funding a US$20,200 air ambulance flight and providing ongoing medical care, the foundation has played a crucial role in T’rique’s journey to recovery.

Their intervention has not only given hope to the young child but has also provided immense relief to his family during this challenging time.

In addition to medical emergencies, the Calvin Ayre Foundation has also been actively involved in facilitating the return and rehabilitation of individuals, such as Ruan Roberts, a fisherman from Urlings.

By organizing his transfer from Guadeloupe for immediate rehabilitation treatment, CAF has exemplified their commitment to supporting individuals beyond the initial emergency, ensuring a comprehensive recovery process.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation’s dedication to medical emergency response, education, sports, and social development in Antigua and Barbuda is truly commendable. Their collaborative efforts with various agencies and representatives have undoubtedly made a lasting impact on the lives of those they have assisted.

The foundation’s unwavering commitment to uplift and empower those in need sets an inspiring example for philanthropy and community service.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Calvin Ayre Foundation and Ambassador Calvin Ayre for their selfless contributions to society.

Their support and generosity have transformed the lives of countless individuals and families, providing them with hope, healing, and a chance for a brighter future.

I believe that it is essential to recognize and appreciate the philanthropic efforts of organizations like the Calvin Ayre Foundation.

By highlighting their compassionate work, we can inspire others to contribute to the well-being of our community and make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.

Thank you for considering this letter. I hope you will join me in commending the Calvin Ayre Foundation for their outstanding contributions to our society.

Sincerely,

Grateful Grace

  1. 100% in agreement. No matter what people may think, this gentleman Mr. Ayre appears to be genuine in his efforts and contributions to Antiguan society. God bless HIM, HIS STAFF, HIS BENEFACTORS and his GREAT work. Jah guide!

  2. Showing gratefulness is something many people are lacking in this country. Especially the people of Barbuda. And we see it also in the people of Antigua. But the good book says, Ungratefulness is worse than Witchcraft.
    Acts 20:32-35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
The more you give the more you receive is a biblical law. One that many rich people understand and practice. Rich people will always create a foundation and skim 10% of their profits of the business and place it in this foundation. And the USA tax laws are encouraging that. Note however Calvin is a Canadian Citizens and also Antiguan and Barbudan.
Antiguans who made did in life don’t seem to practice this biblical law. It’s all of self and none for thee. As Obstinate sang.
Sadly, when you think back, we had Stanford who also gave a lot to this country. But were we ever grateful? No. I mean we see his footprint all over the country in the buildings he left behind at the airport, the basketball court, the catholic pre-school, SLBMC. We now have the Chinese giving and giving and giving. And how do we show our gratitude towards them? Sorry it is sad to say, we Antiguans and Barbudans are an UNGRATEFUL set of people.

    • We have arselickers like you to do the job on all these nice white and yellow people who come help with their money which Antigua helps them steal, and we must bow down to them! Naw we hire people like you to brown tongue them!

      • Well said, and the SANCTIMONIOUS fool @ Sideline thinks that by adding scripture (and out of context I might add), makes what he’s saying is correct … sadly far from it!

Sidey is a PIOUS and fully paid-up ABLP crackpot suffering from DUNNING-KRUGER syndrome, but doesn’t realise it.

  3. We’re indeed thankful for his philanthropic work in saving lives and making it easier for rehabilitation. May God continue to guide his work of stewardship in our country.

  4. What an amazing humanitarian and philanthropist. Putting his money where his mouth is. Fantastic sir!

Hopefully, one of our ABLP Minister’s take note and dip into their deep deep pockets and do likewise as Mr Calvin Ayre.

There’s a rumour that since one Minister came into office, he’s accumulated around 300 million dollars.

WHO COULD THIS BE? [* COUGH … COUGH 🥸]

    Here we go, in 3, 2, 1 😂😂😂

    • Ah there we go. You almost made it through an entire comment without mentioning ABLP….Oh well.

    • You cannot be serious. How often have we seen the Prime Minister make donations? And substantial donations. He donated $100K to the Barbuda relieve funds after hurricane Irma. He donated 50K to his church charity. I mean you really want me to start blowing his trumpet. Not one politician has given more out of his own pocket to charity than our Prime Minister Gaston Alfonso Browne. To whom much is given much is expected. You should start giving yourself and do not look at what others give. And don’t forget to call on the UPP politicians to give as well. Cause that only shows your political motivation.

      • Gaston himself, told us why he was being so generous to the Barbudans in their time of distress and he should’ve given a thousand times more because Odebretch offered up many millions; enough to make us the coveted ‘Powerhouse ‘ but it seems like he took that title for himself. You can spin all you want to,you are bowling all dead balls.

        • You are coming with that lie again. After it was revealed in court documents in the USA that it was a famous Antiguan lawyer that met with them in Miami. Gaston certainly is not a lawyer

      • Mathematics isn’t your strong point I see @ Sidey; by my calculations, a Prime Minister with around 300 million made whilst in office, who you claim has made donations – if true – comes to around 0.05% of his vast SELF-ENRICHMENT wealth.

Chicken feed boss, absolute chicken feed …

  5. I am in total agreement with what the letter says
Mr Ayre is a trendsetter and great humanitarian …
May God continue to bless he and his team for their continued support to individuals who seek assistance ..

  6. Is 12:10 pm and my comments posted at 9:30 am are still in moderation. I wonder whose corn am I smatching?

  7. I’m surprise that Sideline an Executive with a major Financial Firm can’t tell between a rip-off and a gift of good will.
If you are who you say you are: you’d know about Carl Ichan a legend Wall Street raider, who destroyed many companies and put hundreds of thousands out of work to make himself a billionaire, his burnished his reputation with a Charter School in the South Bronx and a stadium on Randall’s Island.
Stanford give away the retirement investment of many widows who died penniless. Only headless individual would see his action as altruistic.

    • Question
if a man robs a bank and brings the money to the church, (without the knowledge of the pastor), should the pastor accept the money as a gift from God?

      • Question:

If Gaston Browne robs the country and keeps the money for himself and immediate family (without the knowledge of Antiguans), should Gassy keep the money or redistribute it around Antigua?

Answers to From The Sideline …

  8. The fake PHD can’t distinguish between a royal rip-off and philanthropy which he thinks is stewardship.

    • You are permitted to criticise ANR on your own website or Facebook page so go do that. We’ve noticed a barrage of comments from you seeking to tear us down. Don’t come here with your comments about not being open to criticism because we have already allowed a number of your degrading comments to be published. If you do not appreciate what we do, simply go somewhere else or do no visit this site.

  9. Antiguans dont mind you rob and steal from others…once they themselves benefit you are the modern day Robin Hood.

    • Is that any different from 300 years of slavery? We build your penitentiary, we build your school, brain was education, to make us a fool.
People ask why we are still poor and the so-called developed countries so rich. Exploit one to give it to the other.

  10. Sideline:
Part 1: VC had a good idea to welcome hoteliers and wealthy seekers. Get Antiguans and Barbudans out of the fields snd burning sun. It was a good idea for we did have the natural resources. Rolling hills and numerous white sand beaches. All of that is well known.
Lester went to school in the US and was mentored by older classmates from the Bahamas and the USVI.
None of Lester’s ideas were original. Lester was charismatic and a fine athlete so he made friends easily.

    • You know Antiguan’s history is ALP’s history. Papa Bird led the way. Lester Bird builds on the gains of Papa Bird and Gaston builds on the gains of Lester Bird. No one built on the gains of George Walter or Balwin Spencer. They always have to clean up after them. It is yet to be seen which Leader the Labour Party will produce after Gaston. He or she will have big shoes to fill.

      • So who cleans up after 40 years of Birdism and Browneism clown 🤡

Boiii, you suffering from Dunning-Kruger symptoms bad bad baaaad!!!

  11. Of course there are some disgusting 🤢 racist comments! You think the rescued persons are anything else than thankful ? What does skin colour matter or politics at this point ? Who cares ? I wanna see you guys dying and not accepting help cause it’s coming from a white, yellow or whatever man.
