Over the years I’ve always learnt that Social Security is an institution to provide financial support to those who are now in their twighlight years of their life and have retired.
According to reports it is surprising that Social Security, which is under your tenure seems not to be up to date with payments to the pensioners especially to those of us who are now joining the pension net.
At this time of our lives, many pensioners do not have any other source of income and so are depending on the monies from Social Security. In addition, like you, we have certain financial commitments that need to be met.
Now Sir, can you please tell us as to why does the process takes so long before a new pensioner can receive their first payment? I am now waiting for over a year and I have not received a dime. Ever so often I have to be borrowing monies from friends and families to survive.
How much longer will this be? My pension is for me to enjoy while I am alive. I am not begging. I am entitle to it.
If a shortage of staff is the problem then get it resolve. If monies are spent unnecessarily, like paying rent for 3 or 4 buildings then why not get your own building?
No one knows the future. Someday you may reach to our age and find yourself depending on Social Security also. How would you feel if you cannot get your monies on time?

Is this a joke?
We are supposed to take this as a real story, yet you neglected to say what Social Security told YOU is the reason?
You want us to believe that you waited over a year, are therefore starving, yet made no inquiries and have nothing to share on the response by Social to your inquiries?
UPP needs to get better writers, though I must admit that throwing in the jab over rent was a nice touch. Perhaps someone will latch on to that even though Social Security themselves have announced that they are liquid and servicing all pensions on time.
You can always recycle this letter, add some more spice, wheel and come again.

Omg, this can’t be true – can it? You mean to tell me the government that spent $1.5 million recently on a concert have an elderly person waiting on her social security money for more than a year?! Aren’t they concerned if this lady can feed herself? What kind of uncaring, heartlessness is this? What is this government’s priority? Is it keep them entertained so they won’t notice what we’re not doing?

This is unacceptable! People have worked hard and deserve to receive their pensions on time.
How can pensioners survive without their rightful payments? The government must address this ASAP! I hate Nonsense. SMH
If the system is broken, fix it! People shouldn’t have to fight for what’s rightfully theirs.
I hope this letter gets the attention it deserves. No one should have to beg for their pension.
They use they money for their own personal interest, they don’t care. I still can’t get my survivors benefits for over 2 years… them too wicked. Gaston and his party are a bunch of greedy soulless beings…he blatantly showing this..
