LETTER: Extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided at the East bus station

EAST BUS TERMINAL/PHTO BY cestee

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided at the east bus station mini bus route, specifically the #33 route to Wilikies. Yesterday, at approximately 5:40 pm, I witnessed a disturbing scene at the bus stop, where at least 50 passengers or more were left stranded, waiting for a bus to take them home.

To our dismay, there were no buses available, and the passengers were left to fend for themselves. Some individuals attempted to contact mini bus drivers, and it wasn’t until 7:20 pm that a 30-seater bus finally arrived. Unfortunately, many passengers were still left without a ride and had to seek alternative, often costly, transportation options, including taxis that charge upwards of $60.

This is unacceptable. As paying customers, we expect a reliable service, especially during peak hours. The lack of buses and poor communication left many commuters feeling frustrated and disrespected.

I urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to address this issue and provide a more reliable service to the community. We deserve better.

Sincerely,

Concerned Wilikies Resident
