Leon Hawkins Jr. of Yorks denied murdering his brother when the charge was read to him in the High Court on Friday.
The defendant is accused of killing Kareem Santiago, also of Yorks, during a domestic dispute on March 13, 2020.
Police allege Hawkins Jr. armed himself with a sharp instrument and used it to wound his brother.
Santiago was transported to Mount St. Johns Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
The matter was adjourned to a date in October.
