Latest court developments in Alfa Nero case set for September

0

In September, the government’s legal team will return to court for the latest involving the Alfa Nero Super Yacht.

Lead Attorney Senior Counsel Anthony Astaphan stated that the case involves a claim by Flying Dutchman Overseas Limited to halt the government’s sale of the vessel.

They are awaiting the judge’s ruling on disclosure applications regarding Flying Dutchman and Yulia Gurieva-Motlokhov, daughter of sanctioned Russian billionaire Andrey Guryev.

Motlokhov asserts ownership of the $68 million yacht, despite its seizure and sale, claiming to be the sole beneficiary of trusts owning the yacht and its artwork.

Represented by Attorney Dr. David Dorsette, her involvement in this high-profile legal battle, linked to her father’s sanctions post-Russia’s Ukraine invasion, has garnered significant attention.
