Health officials are undertaking a major testing operations of prisoners for the coronavirus.
The exercise started this morning with prisoners on remand.
Antigua News Room was told over 200 prisoners are expected to be tested in an exercise expected to run into Sunday.
It is not clear what brought on this recent round of testing, however, health officials had warned prisoners who refused to be vaccinated that they will have to undergo regular PCR tests.
So far, 36 prisoners have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Many of them have already recovered and are back in the general prison population following their period of isolation at Crabbs.
