A $1500 reward has been offered by one local surveyor who is hoping to retrieve a special piece of equipment.

Amir Mason made the announcement about the reward while appealing to members of the public who may have seen or know about the alleged theft.

Mason explained that he was working on a project for the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) on Saturday at around 2:26-4:12pm along the rising for Friars Hill road but upon returning to the exact site, the instrument was no longer there.

He confirmed that he has made a report to the Longford Police Station but is now speaking to the media to bring more awareness on the matter.

  1. I heard this man called into Observer Radio on Saturday. He did say someone took his instrument. I do hope it is found in good condition. It really amazes me. That someone cannot put something down in Antigua and turned their back for a second. Before it is stolen. Since when Antigua is like that? I lived in Antigua and used to leave my house and cars unlocked in Villa Area. What has change?

      • @. I am not a 1940’s child. My guess,we loved our neighbors as we loved ourselves. Back then we looked out for each other. I did know all who live on my street in Villa Area. Life was so simple without all of those complicated matters of today.

    • @WHARF RAT…plain and simple, the #habits have changed.

      …habits, become Norms!
…norms, become A Way Of Life!
…a way of life, defines a People!
      …a people defines a #CULTURE!
      …said culture shall predicate!
      …this culture will dictate!
      …the direction’s, said People take!
      …by #default! By #design! By #destiny!

  2. Simply tag your equipment with a chipped serial#(photograph it) and file. Easily traceable!
