Labour Queen Show Confirms Seven Contestants for Annual Event

The Labour Queen Show, a fixture of Labour Week activities organized by the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party and the Antigua Trades and Labour Union, has announced the seven young women who will be competing this year.

The contestants hail from various regions, including St. Mary’s South, St. Mary’s North, St. John’s City South, St. Paul, St. John’s City West, St. John’s Rural North, and St. John’s Rural South.

The show will take place on Sunday, April 30, at the Dean William Lake Cultural Centre in St. John’s.

According to Planning Committee Head Sharilyn James, the event has gained popularity in recent years as a stepping stone for young women who aspire to participate in the Queen of Carnival pageant, and several winners have gone on to win the Carnival show or placed in the top three finalists.
