Congratulations are pouring in for International sportswoman Mrs. Kimberly Percival, who was today, conferred the title of Ambassador-at-Large.
Ambassador Percival received her instruments of appointment at Government House in a brief ceremony.
Ambassador Percival made history when she captured the top prize at the prestigious international bodybuilding event, the Arnold Classics Europe in Seville Spain, becoming the first athlete from Antigua and Barbuda to claim such an international reputation.
Minister of Sports, The Hon. Daryll Mathew noted that the clinching of the first-place winner in the international competition has placed Antigua and Barbuda in a place of high repute and has made Kimberly Percival’s face recognizable in circles of fitness and health globally.
She has been interviewed by television and magazines with global audiences and is extremely articulate. Minister of Tourism, The Hon. Charles Fernandez also agreed that Ambassador Kimberly Percival would be an asset to the global promotion program of Antigua and Barbuda.
