Campaigning for the impending by-election set to take place in St. Mary’s South, UPP candidate Kelvin ‘Shugy’ Simon has unveiled a range of welfare and sports initiatives tailored to the constituency.
Among these proposals is a voucher program aimed at providing monthly grocery assistance, alongside the enhancement of sports facilities and the introduction of a netball initiative.
Kelvin ‘Shugy’ Simon’s dedication to sports development within St. Mary’s South is further demonstrated through his plans for Bolans Playing Field upgrades and the construction of a new Urlings basketball court, both aimed at fostering community engagement and empowering local youth.
Additionally, Simon’s vision encompasses the implementation of a netball initiative, adding to his array of planned sports-related programs.
Simon, who emerged victorious in January’s election, opted to resign to preempt potential legal disputes, subsequently triggering the need for a by-election. In this context, Senator Dwayne George has been announced as the ABLP candidate.
