The winner of the Mount Gay International Cocktail Competition in Antigua and Barbuda says his victory demonstrates that consistency pays off.
Kanto George an employee of Jumby Bay Island Resort defeated 10 of Antigua’s best mixologists to win the title over the weekend at Catherine’s Cafe.
He told our reporter that he’s been trying to win the top prize for years.
George is expected to travel to Barbados to compete on International Rum Day 16 August 2022.
If he is victorious, he will win an all-expense paid trip to London Rum Festival in October where he will immerse themselves in the London bar scene and have the opportunity to experience the iconic rum fest.
The second place winner went to Atino Spencer of Cocobay Resort.
Third place winner went to Ashley of Rokuni Restaurant.
The event was a fun filled event which celebrated the best of Antigua’s mixologists.
