A call for justice will echo through the streets this Friday as relatives, friends and community members gather outside Police Headquarters to demand accountability for the death of 18-year-old Khaleel Simon.
The demonstration is scheduled for Friday 19 September at 3:00 p.m., with organisers expecting a large turnout. They describe the rally as both an expression of grief and a demand for answers.
Simon, remembered by loved ones as a young man full of promise and youthful joy, is being mourned as “just beginning to discover life and his purpose.” His family and supporters allege that his life was “tragically and maliciously taken by those sworn to protect him,” words that have fuelled widespread outrage.
The rally will be held under the slogan Justice for Khaleel Simon, with organisers urging the public to stand in solidarity. They say the protest is about more than one young man’s death—it is a call for accountability, trust and responsibility in policing.

Community advocates stress that visible unity is key, arguing that only collective voices can bring about change. Supporters have also taken to social media, using the hashtag #JusticeForKhaleelSimon to spread awareness and mobilise participation.

Let’s not forget about little Shantel. We are still waiting for the Shantel Alert!
A voice must be continuously heard for the individuals who have lost their lives thus becoming victims of the police
Chantel still no answers, Bruce Greenaway, Manny, Monk from Swetes – his killer walking around in the village everyday like nothing, Dollar man found chopped up in a barrel, now they shoot Charlie dead too😭
Gad nar sleep.
Mommy said he was a good boy. Good riddance go and bury you all dead.
We heard the officer is being investigated. We heard that for Manny James. Justice for khaleel.
This boy died without a cause. If he was engaged in criminal activities then there is a system and the law provides for how he should be handled. He shouldn’t have been shot by a police officer full of rage because his woman made a complaint

This was long in coming. The family of this boy need to send a message that enough is enough
And Lloyd Lewis justice for all
The power to execute change, is in the hands of the people. With your vote, you have the power to choose who you are governed by.
Please exercise that power prudently.
There is no accountability in this present administration..they take blame for nothing, instead they masquerade around touting they are the greatest administration that have ever govern Antigua.
Well if this is what greatness looks like, I for one certainly don’t want to be around to see what struggle looks like.
The violence in Antigua is way too rampant, by criminals and police.. I for one have seen with my own eyes in recent times while visiting, a police officer in plain clothes, kicking a old man in front of every one in the near vicinity, and when I tried to intervene, I was pulled back by my friends, warning me to leave it alone because of fear of retribution by the officers who patrol that area.
What I gather from that incident, is that this is a common accurance by that said officer in particular, and a few others.
The other thing that I noticed, is that the officer seems to be intoxicated.
So yes I’ve seen police abuse with my own eyes in Antigua, and if it goes unchecked, then these killings will continue. They did it to Manny and a few others.
So yes to the family and friends of this young man.. continue to seek the truth about this incident. If no one stands up for the poor, then who will?
This rally is not just about Khaleel, it’s about making sure no other family has to endure this pain.
If those sworn to protect us can’t be trusted, then something is seriously wrong.
Justice for this young man . Police Commissioner we depend on you. We expect different
So many young lives gone without reason,it’s unbelievable. I wish to see young people stand against these criminal acts by the ones who are supposed to make us feel safe
We heard the officer is being investigated. We heard that for Manny James. Justice for khaleel.
