Financial approval has been granted for the construction of two new community centres in Five Islands Village and All Saints Village, according to a joint update from ABLP candidates Michael M. Joseph and Lamin Newton.
The two said the projects are part of a coordinated push to expand community infrastructure, with Joseph advancing development in Five Islands and Newton leading efforts in All Saints.
Both centres are expected to serve as hubs for community engagement, youth activities and social programmes aimed at strengthening local support systems.
The announcement described the initiative as a collaborative effort, with both candidates working to deliver facilities that can support long-term community development.
Further details on timelines and construction are expected to be released.

ABLP promise #97. They are almost at that magical number 100. Won’t be long now. I’m trying to guess what the final 3 promises will be. However, let me have a guess. Here goes 😉:
Pledge #98. To rebuild the carpark in St John’s and turn it into a multi-storey housing block. How amazing!
Pledge #99. Create a desalination plant to convert Brackish water or sea water into potable drinking water. Wouldn’t that be fantastic?
And Pledge #100. Wait for it…
