Jolly Harbour Resident Fined $1,000 for False Theft Report

A resident of Jolly Harbour has been fined $1,000 for falsely claiming a theft to the police.

Sean Fevrier alleged that his MacBook and Samsung S21 were stolen from Jolly Beach on June 12.

However, he never showed up to provide a formal statement as requested by the authorities.

Following an investigation, an officer obtained a search warrant for Fevrier’s residence on July 25, where they discovered the missing items.

During the search, Fevrier admitted to the officer that he attempted the false claim due to financial difficulties.

The court imposed the $1,000 fine despite pleas for leniency from his lawyer.(OBSERVER)
