An automotive dealership is seeking an Automotive Salesperson responsible for selling cars, trucks and vans for personal and commercial use.
The individual should be self-motivated, driven and possess adequate and appropriate social skills.
The main duties and responsibilities are:
- Greeting customers arriving at the dealership
- Making customers feel welcome and supported through the car-purchasing process.
- Obtain an understanding of customer’s needs,
- Showcase the dealership’s vehicles and explain their features and warranties to customers
- Answer customer questions about vehicles
- Accompany customers on test drives
- Prepare sales documents
The successful applicant should also:
- Be customer service oriented
- Have a welcoming and friendly demeanor
- Have sufficient knowledge of the vehicles carried by the dealership
- Be intuitive to anticipate which cars will appeal to different customers
- Be actively listening, to best determine a customer’s wants and needs
- Skills of persuasion to close deals
- Have the confidence to create a positive impression on customers
- Contribute to the dealership’s marketing and promotional initiatives
- Be able to work as a team player
- Be computer literate
- Have a passion for vehicles
- Have a valid driver’s license
Education
Passes of at least 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language or an Associate degree.

I agree with you. I absolutely do not see the wisdom in a company placing and ‘blind’ ad like this for a sales person. Perhaps after you have learned which company it is you do not want to work there.
On the other hand if they are confident that many people would want to work for that company, it would inspire many to apply. Even those that perhaps are already hired by their competitors.
Or perhaps they want to keep it secret to the staff that are there already. In anyway this is a bad way of attracting the right people.
