Jergens Lotion Recall

 

The Prices and Consumer Affairs Division is asking consumers to check their 3-ounce and 10-ounce bottles of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer.

According to the FDA, it is possible the bottles of lotion are contaminated with a harmful bacteria called Pluralibacter Gergoviae that could cause infections in people with weakened immune systems.

 

The Jergens products that are part of the recall were manufactured between October 1-18, 2021, and have a lot code on the back or the bottom of the bottle that starts with the letters “ZU.”

 

IDENTIFYING THE AFFECTED PRODUCTS 

• The affected lot codes for the 3 oz size (UPC 019100109971) for single bottles and 019100267114 for pack of 3) can be found on the back of the bottle printed in black ink and begin with the prefix “ZU”:

• The affected lot codes for the 10 oz size (UPC 019100109988) can be found on the bottom of the bottle printed in black ink and begin with the prefix “ZU”:

Should consumers have the affected product in their possession, the Division is asking them to discontinue use and to report the matter to the Division so that the Central Board of Health can take the necessary action to remove and discard the product. Consumers are asked to return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
