Jehovah’s Witnesses Invite Antigua Residents to Annual Memorial of Jesus’ Death

10

While the date Sunday, March 24, may pass imperceptibly for many, millions around the world will gather at sundown to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ.

Considered the most important day of the year for Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Memorial is observed annually on Nisan 14 of the Jewish calendar in adherence to Jesus’ statement found at Luke 22:19, “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”

Though there are over 8.6 million Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world, almost 20 million people attended the event last year.

“Around the world, many people who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses attend the Memorial.

We hope that members of our local community will also join us in remembering the death of Jesus Christ to show gratitude for his sacrifice,” said Carl Harris, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“While it is a solemn occasion, it is also a joyous one.”

The one-hour event will feature a talk highlighting the significance of Jesus’ death and what it means for all of mankind.

In Antigua and Barbuda, a special campaign will be launched during March 2024 to invite local residents to attend the annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal.

Joel Euzebe says: “My wife and I have grown to appreciate what this occasion means to us and to all mankind; a time to reflect on the greatest expression of love ever shown and to look forward to future blessings in store because of Christ’s sacrifice.

We enjoy being able to tell others about it and share in inviting others to the Memorial celebration.”

  1. The Jehovah Witness should enter the public discourse about the high rate of public corruption, and crime on the streets.

It is dishonest to pretend what’s going on in this country is none of your business.

Tell the Prime minister to “Open the Files” on the WIOC transfer of the fryers Hill complex to his son, with a “No Down Payment Deferred Mortgage” allowing him to own the buildings at to cost IF corp.

Not a Penny to acquire these valuable buildings.

The high taxes which are result of the public corruption are killing the very (witnesses) you are hoping to attract to your events.

Your organization is among the Ecumenical who should be leading Civil Society. Political Parties don’t protect or advance Democracy. They are temporary stewards.

Civil Society engagement determines the quality of life in any democratic society.

The Jehovism is to be a Christian. Do the Christian thing, and don’t just enjoy the benefits of a corruptive GOAB Cabinet.

Ask the Prime Minister to open the Files, for its the law. The Taxpayers who your organization solicit and depend on financial are being buries in taxes while public assets are being transferred out of the ownership of The people’s ownership.

Help to turn the tide. This cannot continue. The American Christian Organization protolyzing in Haiti and running for their lives under the cover of night.

STOP! turning a blind eye; hob knobbing with the elites, before you become victims.

    • @countryman Abroad….poor you always ready to blame everyone else for your failure…turning everything political. All the citizens that voted for either UPP or ABLP are members of all denomination in Antigua from Anglican to Seventh day.. except the Jehovah’s witnesses…who believes that man cannot solves man’s problems and only the God’s Kingdom that you not knowing for what you’re praying is the only hope for mankind.
      So where lies the problem?

    • So stupid! What does Jehovah Witnesses have to do with politics? Why you don’t ask different religions especially those of the prophets scheme to predict on the Govt? Don’t you believe in these prophets? They are the one you should be attacking because as far as I know that religion, ‘Jehovah Witnesses’ do not take part in any political parties or issues. I don’t know what Christ death have to do with politics. When Christmas come around you eat and drink and don’t remember politics. Christmas is pagan but you believe is Christ death. Why don’t you say this nonsense around Christmas time. Steups! Everything for people is politics, you think everyone lives revolve around politics? You think Jehovah Witnesses and some others line up to vote? Leave the people them jak. Do God and politics have anything in common?

      • @Unknown,
You ask “What does Jehovah Witnesses have to do with politics”?
First: Virtually every week the is something an event called Cabinet. It is the policy making body of Antigua and Barbuda.
It is the place and moment where decisions are made which affects most aspects of the lives of Antiguans and Barbudans.

If the review what is called “Cabinets Notes” the process by which the media and the public is informed It says: A religious Minister pray at Cabinet Meetings.
Reviewing Cabinet Notes about 6 weeks ago the Minister of Religion o pray over cabinet members and their proceedings; made a very interesting statement recognizing public critic of Cabinet’s actions with the hope they are making equitable decisions because critics of their actions may be just being politically mischievous.
AND RELIGION DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS
Basically, what’s happens in Cabinet is being blessed by a religious minister.

Second: Quite often one hears we are a “Parliamentary Democracy”.
It is “Civil Society” that nourishes and enables democracies to thrive and survive.
Most Countries Civil Society are led by the Ecumenical joined by the judicial system, the trade groups the business groups among others.
Antigua and Barbuda Ecumenical are The Antigua and Barbuda Evangelical Alliance and The Antigua Christian Council.
No one is asking them to take sides. They are being asked to play the role that they normally play in Democratic societies.
You ask: Don’t you believe in these prophets? You will not like my answer to that question.
I am sympathetic to your concerns, but it would be helpful if you take a couple of courses in Political Science. It may help you understand my focus is on Democracy as an institution as well as religion as an institution that nourishes democracy in their role as leaders of Civil Society.
Many are now available on the internet and for free. Otherwise, can’t help you anymore. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes1:18 Ignorance is bliss.

The only way is the biblical JESUS CHRIST

  3. Religion, in whatever form, by which ever form they use to mold[indoctrinate] the thought process(es), of HUEmans are a FOR PROFIT BUSINESS.

They go “hand in glove” with any government or governing systems which controls HUEmanity.

Since, #fate can be determined by #faith, and vice-versa; could we have a jesus christ Faithful, who puts their FATE in the indoctrinations, of the Romans and the Gregorians, to step up, step forward, step which ever way, offer themselves to be CRUCIFIED, then buried, and let us see them rise up on the third day, singing Hallelujah!

Church and State are partners in crime.

@UNKOWN…The Order of Jehovah’s Witness may not get involved, in government affairs directly[falacy]; however, I guarantee, they the Jehovah’s Witnesses will take and enjoy the perks, concessions, tax breaks, grants, donations offered by the government!

There’s a very good reason, why many stories were intentionally left out, of the book of allegories aka as the Bible!

  4. I do not have interest in politics so I don’t need to get involved with Political Science and yes ignorance is a curse not bliss and that’s what you are exercising. You said ministers are in the Cabinet but I’ve never heard of Jehovah Witnesses in the Cabinet….. So enlighten me because I don’t know much about the ministers in Cabinet? People will be fighting over politics while the politicians are dining and having a good time. Everything for some people are about politics, is that all life is about?

Yes man wrote the Bible but who inspired that man? And why is it revealing as time goes by? Is it a coincidence? Or is it based on truth? If truth how can that person know the future to make future predictions?

  5. I don’t have to be in a religion to have common sense…. Sigh! One leader I follow and it’s Jesus. I don’t care about Government and who is ruling because that’s just for a time.
