JCI Antigua Triumphs at the 64th National Convention in Guyana
JCI Antigua made a remarkable impact at the 64th National Convention held in Guyana from October 8-11, 2024. A strong delegation of 35 members represented the organization, securing a plethora of prestigious awards and recognition in various categories.
Among the many highlights, two Antiguans and Barbudans were elected to the JCI West Indies board in the persons of 2025 JCI West Indies President Leycia Samuels and 2025 JCI West Indies Vice President-Elect Laurel Jonas.
The installation ceremony of the national president saw the handing over of the historic JCI presidential chain to 2025 National President Leycia Samuels who held the local President title in 2021. This marked a significant achievement for the organization.
During the convention, national officers and presidents from various territories presented their final reports. JCI Antigua was recognized for its outstanding contributions and leadership with a series of prestigious awards for the top / best project in the following categories:

Leycia Samuels, who was elected as the 65th JCI West Indies President, expressed her pride in JCI Antigua’s accomplishments, stating, “This is a monumental moment for our chapter. Our members have worked tirelessly, and I am honoured to lead us into an exciting new chapter for JCI West Indies.”
