Akido McDonald, a 26-year-old Jamaican who escaped Immigration custody last week, will be deported to Jamaica on Thursday after pleading guilty in court.

McDonald, who was denied entry into Antigua and Barbuda on January 23, was fined EC$1,500, which must be paid within 48 hours. He remains at Her Majesty’s Prison until his departure on the next available flight.

His recapture on Saturday followed an intelligence-driven operation in Swetes, where two others were also detained.

  1. Antigua and Donald Trump is doing the same thing to control illegal immigrants. The ABDF have two Aircrafts that will transport them back to their country. Don’t blame TRUMP.

  2. If they do the crime then they can do the time why leave your country to come ah we country to commit crime and live with a slap on the wrist deport all ah dem that wicked n committing these heinous crimes yes make Antigua safe and great again

  3. Thursday is too long awaiting it should have been today, Tuesday, January 28th, 2025. He just arrived and already shown his criminal side by escaping from Immigration Holding Center. We don’t need people like him in Antigua and Barbuda.
Gaston needs to be doing like Donna Trump by rounding up all the illegal immigrants here in the country and deport them—pronto!
